No matter where or what she's playing, saxophonist Briana Harris approaches music with enthusiasm, creativity, and a good sense of humor.  Her diverse musical background keeps her busy playing everything from jazz standards to rock and roll to soul.  

Briana holds a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. While at UNC, she studied saxophone with Dr. Andrew Dahlke and jazz composition with Erik Applegate. Bri taught both small and large jazz ensembles as part of her teaching assistantship at UNC. She was a member of Jazz Lab Band 1, which won two Downbeat student music awards and toured internationally in China during her time with the band.  She also holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Alabama, where she studied with Dr. Jon Noffsinger and Chris Kozak.

Briana is an alumna of the 2011 Disneyland All-American College Band, a prestigious program comprised of some of the nation's top college jazz musicians.  As part of the band, she performed in Disneyland and worked with guest artists including Arturo Sandoval, Gregg Field, Jiggs Whigham, and John Clayton.

Bri currently lives in Greeley, CO and works throughout the Northern Colorado area. You can often find her playing with artists including Mark Sloniker, Jim White, Steve Kovalcheck, The Burroughs, The Colorado Jazz Orchestra, Matt Smiley, Annie Booth, and Ryan Fourt. Briana serves as the Administrative Coordinator for the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, and she is an adjunct professor of jazz history at the University of Northern Colorado. Bri is available for private lessons and masterclasses to students of all ages and abilities. She is also available for freelance arranging and composition work.
