Northern Road, formerly known as CLB, is a refreshing presence in the world of American bass music. After making a name for himself under his former alias, this new project allows him to expand on the path he carved, free from the creative limitations that built up over a decade as CLB.

Northern Road aims to take foundational sounds of the UK while blending ambient and experimental influences. While the main focus circles around club-ready dubstep and drum & bass, the ethos of the project is designed to bring the listener on a journey that isn’t strictly defined by genre, but by an enthusiasm for experimentation.

Though still in its early stages, Northern Road is backed by a strong foundation. Past releases have landed on heavyweight labels such as Deadbeats, Born on Road, and MONTA. He has performed both domestically and internationally at acclaimed venues including Lakota in Bristol, Elsewhere in New York, and the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Recent highlights include performances at Infrasound Equinox, North Coast Music Festival, and a standout B2B set with Taiki Nulight at Hulaween 2025.

Rooted in a deep respect for the craft, Northern Road stands out as a bold, forward-thinking artist in the oversaturated American bass scene.

Stuart has been part of the House scene for more than 15 years and has performed in every continent in the world.

Long associated with the legendary Hed kandi, he's headlined some of the Worlds most glamorous events including Macau China, Punta Del Este Uruguay and Cape Town, South Africa, not to mention bringing in the New Year at Pacha, Florianopolis Brazil!

He mixes a variety of soulful warm ups, deep house, bass to sumptuous disco and main room anthems. From intimate clubs, beach & pool parties to festivals, his effervescent style never fails to serve up hands in the air action on global dancefloors.

On the production side, Stuart is becoming a household name with many tracks topping the worldwide download charts and was recently voted at Number 29 of the Traxsource House Artists of 2014.

Stuart also mixed, compiled and produced the 'Hed Kandi Taste of' series album, which topped the iTunes download charts.

London-based DJ and producer, signed to UK trance label Discover Records from 2007-2012 and resident DJ at London's incredible Planet Angel parties for most of the 00s. Co-production credits as Sly One vs Jurrane with a discography of over 30 original tracks and remixes released on labels including Perfecto Records (Paul Oakenfold, world #1 DJ 1998, 1999), Armada Records (Armin van Buuren, world #1 DJ 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012) and many more.  

Alongside an extensive back catalogue of singles, remixes and EPs, Sly One vs Jurrane compiled and mixed two compilations for Discover Records: 'Global Trance UK' and 'Discover - The Next Chapter'. In 2012, Discover issued 'Trance Pioneers - Sly One vs Jurrane', a career retrospective anthology of all 19 Sly One vs Jurrane original tracks and remixes released on the Recoverworld series of labels between 2007 and 2012.  

I'm now retired from music production, but still love DJ'ing great music and posting mixes here on Soundcloud from time to time. You'll find a wide range of dance music genres including house, techno, trance, party funk, nu-disco, progressive house, psybreaks, hip-hop and ambient. Several older Sly One vs Jurrane promotional mixes and other sets will also be uploaded soon. 

All the DJ mixes on this page are available as free downloads but please support the artists by buying their tracks if you hear stuff you like.
