Vertigo is undoubtedly one of the highlights of Greg Naïro's forthcoming album, Alma. The release is a silver lining to a challenging year. The lockdown gave Greg the perfect opportunity to hone his craft and as he really found his sound, an ep soon turned into a full-length LP. This is a producer in his element, making authentic music he loves and hopes you do too. We really hope we get to experience this one on a big sound-system very soon. It's punchy, hypnotic groove gives way to triumphant strings and results in a tune crying out to be played and danced to. The full album will be released on Oleeva at the end of April.

This project from @ruinaslisboa  is born from artists in Lisbon banding together to support the ones in need. All the proceeds will be donated to “União Audiovisual”, an association working on supporting the basic needs of artists and music professionals struggling during the pandemic, people with family and children that saw their income significantly reduced because of the restrictions and little to no help from the state.

The compilation features tracks by more than 20 artists, including Xinobi, Dan Ghenacia, Vil, and Kaspar, to name a few. All the participants donated their tracks in solidarity with the cause. While showcasing the great talent of the underground electronic musicians living in the city, we think the release will serve the purpose of helping the people in need and raising awareness on the issue.

This spring, we’ve brought together new stories from talented musicians around the world for the third instalment of our Seasons series.

Each producer crafts a unique musical tapestry, often using thumping drums, beautiful synthetic melodies, and haunting vocal samples to capture the pure jubilation of spring and excitement for what lies ahead.

Null Acht Fünfzehn, a German expression pointing out how average or mediocre something is. Not worth mentioning let's say.. which is an exact contradiction of what they have done with their brand new EP.

Consisting of members from Brigade and Kahl & Kamaena, this Berlin threesome hooked up 2 years ago and used their time to perfect the art of creating subtle music with maximum efficiency.

Although they may present it as somewhat underwhelming and not too serious, what these three buddies have to offer is nothing less than impressive. Slowed down, ghostly yet truly effective electronic work that's ready to fog up the dance floor.

On top of that, this EP is accompanied by two terribly efficient and different remixes. YokoO heads up the dubby techno path, while Blindsmyth goes for the jugular with a stripped and clubbed out rendition of the single track Null Acht Fünfzehn.

There are some tracks that just feel really good to me: the tracks that cause those tingle-type sensations that go up the back of my spine up through the top of the head...Cosmic Quivers, if you will.

In this mix, the single unifying theme I went for is tracks that make me feel good. A few of the selections have been known to cause Cosmic Quivers from time to time such as the super synthy Random Factor - Second Principles (10:20) and the techy yet surprisingly beautiful Hoito - Modern Kush (36:40) [thanks Slee]. Both of these are amazing pieces of cosmic work...I've been sitting on the Random Factor track for over a year waiting for the right mix to use it in....

After completing this mix, I noticed this mix has a fair amount of soul and vocal-influenced feelgood tunes as well, notably the Temptations vocals sample in Robert Poretti - A Girl Like You (24:44), Danny Daze+Matches - If This (27:00), Mike Shannon - Under the Radar (Rozzo Mix) (31:47), the scat singing in Daso, Jin Choi - Teer (Rodriguez Jr Mix) (43:47), and Miguel Migs closer....I suppose there's something about a vocal hook that makes it easier for me to connect with...

All in all, a lot of tunes here that make me feel good...hopefully they'll have the same effect on you.
