Bio: "Valer den Bit - dj, musician & producer from beautiful city Saint-Petersburg. Valer likes to play romantic and melodic DJ sets at sunset and dawn, with a real sense of soul. Sound pallets that range from melodic to organic house music and swim in euphoric magic atmospheres. 

Valeriy dj sets are filled with atmosphere, melodies and energy, in they sound many of their own tracks and remixes, making his DJ style recognizable literally from the very first minutes at the listen! Played on the same stage with Nick Curly, Jody Wisternoff, Roy Rosenfeld, Guy Mantzur, Robert Babicz, Kasper Koman, Chicola, Rey & Kjavik, Cid inc, Smash TV, Sous Sol, Metodi Hristov, etc. 

Valer was released on labels Bar 25 Music (Berlin, Germany), Connected Frontline (UK), Radiant. (Switzerland), Poesie Musik (Get Physical, Germany), Souksonic (Belgium), Hoomidaas (Los Angeles, USA), Depth (Belgium), Inward Records (UK), Timeless Moment (Brazil) etc. Tracks received support from many djs and radio stations from over the world. Valery’s discography is constantly growing - at the moment there are more than 50 releases in the musician’s portfolio. An endless passion for music, combined with talent, hard work and dedication, make Valeriy one of the most visible, promising and demanded electronic musicians both domestically and internationally.

"A big very slow trip into your inner self" from Laura BCR, a Berlin-based, Paris-born DJ, producer and founder of the label and booking agency On Board Music. 

Reduced is a new series that strips sound back to its most transcendental, restorative and atmospheric textures to block out the noise and aid focus, attunement and relaxation. Each one will be paired with a mental health charity and be accompanied by an interview focussed on self-care. The combination of all three will create an evolving resource of knowledge and experience that provides solace, inspiration, reassurance and company in difficult times.

Mary Lake (@marylakeworld) grew up in France, Algeria and The Netherlands, so has also been exposed to a broad mix of music. In recent years she has distilled that into her own often frenetic rhythms, always with a perspective that is left of centre, but never too far out to lose the attention of her dance floors. It was on her NTS show Worshipping Discordia where she first showcased her distinctive collisions of electronica, folk and globally influenced sounds, but since then has become a firm favourite at clubs  all over Europe, Australia and beyond.

Lake's distinctive sense of rhythm is at the heart of this week's mix. The often stripped-back tracks she seamlessly stitches together have drum programming so compelling that little else is needed to keep you locked. Whether riding up and down on a rubbery loop, skating over busy poly rhythms or sinking deep into more linear and minimal cuts, this is pure, seductive body music from someone who exerts expert control at all times.
