Warmly welcoming Gacha Bakradze on Horoom, we share the work of a Georgian artist that has gained international recognition in the past years.  Opening with „Elevate“ the track stays true to its name: elevating melodies guiding through a jungle of beats. In a time where harder is better, Gacha Bakradze elegantly suggests a more minimalistic approach to the sound of electronic music. While „Toulouse“ blends darker streams with aquatic hope, „Employee“ enjoys a big drop in the middle, just to continue on a more melodic note. Well crafted music through and through, this EP combines the flavours of different genres without bending them.

Funny Thing

Improvisation is the core of Bugge Wesseltoft's and Henrik Schwarz's collaboration. Technology and the joy of playing often meet and beautiful creations are formed somewhere between machine and human, balancing like a mobile delicately around a centre.  For "In Spite Of Everything" the duo plays on two opposite grand pianos. One is driven by Wesseltoft's emotional piano playing and the second is a so-called player piano, in which the keys are driven by motors and which Schwarz controls in real time with a computer program written especially for this piece. The program is highly reactive and sensitive, creating a sparkling piano duet of pulsating energy and wild dynamics.
SUNDAY-MUSIC RECORDS & BETWEEN BUTTONS jointly release two versions of this piece. A club version with extra bass, kick drum and strings, which was also heard in Henrik Schwarz's Cercle Liveset and another purely acoustic version, just with the sound of the two grand pianos, recorded during the live concert at Berlin's Radialsystem.

"Gentle Movement" is the outcome of an improvised musical endeavour between ourselves and our good friend, sax player Kjetil Möster. A long time Röyksopp-collaborator, Mr. Möster has featured on several of our releases & he's done multiple shows with us in the past. If you ever detect a woodwind-sound on a Röyksopp track, it's likely that Kjetil's the provider. As for the track itself, the title really says it all. On a final note to you all, stay safe wherever you are.

I have spent the three months selecting tracks for a new mix. Over the last month, like many others, I have used music and creativity to reflect how I'm feeling and thinking and the music I've been listening to has varied dramatically. This is the culmination of that. Bear with me. This is my story in music. It is split into movements that express different moments over the last months and emotions. At times, it is a challenging listen. It is intended to be listened to in one sitting, taking the journey from beginning to end and experiencing the Movements together as a whole. I take a huge amount of joy from building a mix like this, stretching myself to build something that means something to me and the people that listen. Keep with it and enjoy x

The “Too Much Change” video features excerpts from American artist Lynd Ward’s wordless novel, Gods’ Man. Published in 1929 and designed using wood engravings, Ward’s creation helped usher in a new era of visual artistry by becoming a revered progenitor of modern graphic novels and comic books. 

“Too Much Change” follows lead single “Power Is Taken”, an impassioned rallying call for change with vocals by Dead Kennedys’ D.H. Peligro.

Revered producer and composer Daniel Avery returns with a new album and live show, his most ambitious works to date. Channelling every corner of his sound, Tremor is a bold and transportive body of work through euphoric shoegaze, submerged techno, ambient soundscape and industrial bliss. It remains unmistakably Avery, yet dramatically evolved.


With the album Avery has welcomed an inspiring cast of collaborators, including the likes of Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Walter Schreifels (Quicksand / Rival Schools), bdrmm, Julie Dawson (NewDad), yeule, Ellie, Art School Girlfriend, yunè pinku, and Cecile Believe. Each artist leaves their indelible mark, yet the record’s true power lies in the communal spirit at its core.

“This is a living and breathing collective,” says Avery. “Since the earliest recordings, Tremor felt like a studio in the sky, a space in time through which we could all pass as artists”, he reflects. “It’s the welcoming spirit of acid house with the doors flung open wider still to allow in every influence from my musical journey: the warmth of distortion, the stillness inside intensity, the transcendental beauty of noise... They have always been there in my music but now it feels like those ideas are being transmitted in Technicolor. This is a record for the post-rave comedown kids, the guitar heads and anyone else who wants to come along for the ride. Everyone is welcome.”

Tremor will be released by Avery’s new home of Domino on 31st October.
