Lixo - the production alias of Alex Hislop, founder of influential London party collective, GETME! - returns to the crew's label arm with new EP 'Cicada'.

Mr Mitch applies his signature sound to his remix of "Phoxi" stripping the song back and adding his signature emotive take on melody and sparse percussion, giving the song ambient textures and hypnotic repetition in its drawn out progression, subtle vocal stabs and heavy reverb.

The follow-up to 2016's 'Writer's Block'single feat Trim and 2017's "Ida" Ep in collaboration with Quays.The "Cicada" EP sees Lixo explore the gamut of electronic music with washed out vocal sampling, warm, tribal bass sounds and fluttery, dreamscape melodies that tug at the more experimental, exploratory corners of London's club music landscape. Glacial Industries returns for 2019 with a club focused 12” from Cork born, Berlin based composer ELLLL.

ELLLL follows up outings on Art For Blind and First Second Label with “CONFECTIONARY”, a trio of technoid mutations. “PEPSI” + “SKITTLES” provide club ammo with their pulsing hard drums, whilst the eerie, off-kilter “JAWBREAKER” rounds off the release.

Daniel Avery + Alessandro Cortini - Illusion Of Time

I’m proud to present Illusion Of Time, an LP made in collaboration with Alessandro Cortini out 27th March on Phantasy/Mute. I’ve been a huge admirer of Alessandro’s work for many years and this project was every bit as inspiring as I knew it would be. The experience felt unique in that much of the recording process was done remotely - we were both touring heavily at the time - sending each other care packages of beautiful noise from various parts of the world. Waking up in different time zones, different cities to something new was always a total rush. We were able to finish the record together in New York whilst on the Nine Inch Nails tour, the luminous context of which feels very fitting for an album we’ve given our hearts to at every stage. The album was mixed by Marta Salogni, the artwork designed by Planet Luke and the video for the title track (which is online today) directed by Tom Andrew and Sam Davis; we surrounded ourselves with masters.

Revered producer and composer Daniel Avery returns with a new album and live show, his most ambitious works to date. Channelling every corner of his sound, Tremor is a bold and transportive body of work through euphoric shoegaze, submerged techno, ambient soundscape and industrial bliss. It remains unmistakably Avery, yet dramatically evolved.


With the album Avery has welcomed an inspiring cast of collaborators, including the likes of Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Walter Schreifels (Quicksand / Rival Schools), bdrmm, Julie Dawson (NewDad), yeule, Ellie, Art School Girlfriend, yunè pinku, and Cecile Believe. Each artist leaves their indelible mark, yet the record’s true power lies in the communal spirit at its core.

“This is a living and breathing collective,” says Avery. “Since the earliest recordings, Tremor felt like a studio in the sky, a space in time through which we could all pass as artists”, he reflects. “It’s the welcoming spirit of acid house with the doors flung open wider still to allow in every influence from my musical journey: the warmth of distortion, the stillness inside intensity, the transcendental beauty of noise... They have always been there in my music but now it feels like those ideas are being transmitted in Technicolor. This is a record for the post-rave comedown kids, the guitar heads and anyone else who wants to come along for the ride. Everyone is welcome.”

Tremor will be released by Avery’s new home of Domino on 31st October.
