"We were driving through the deserts of California when we hatched the plan to release a boxed set of the singles from Skying, unaware that it would balloon into the monster that it did. We started off small, just one version per single. However, through chance encounters and wanting to involve more people whose music excited us, the box soon grew into an impressive collection of sonic tapestries and hypnotic grooves and it became apparent that this was no longer about the singles. It was now about this new music which had used the different elements of Skying as a springboard to other ideas. We encouraged everyone involved to be as obtuse as possible, to get as far away from the original source material as they could. The results are stunning, and I think it's just a shame we couldn't have done more."

Tiga - DJ, singer, producer, radio maverick, man of eight talents -- unleashes his brand new single 'Plush' December 17th via Different Recordings / PIAS.
Taken from his non-stoppable new mix CD Tiga Non Stop, the single was co-produced by Matthew Dear, starting as a freeform jam session and ending as something that works equally well as an underground club anthem and literally everybody's track of the year. It also features what Tiga is privately calling his greatest vocal performance to date.
"'Plush' was inspired by 80s dance TV shows like Pelvic Gold and The Bandana Patrol, as well as my undying love and respect for the city of Detroit," says the Montreal musician from his home in Montreal. "It's the first of what I know will be many collaborations with Matthew Dear, a sort of musical friendship bracelet that will bind us unto eternity."
As is the custom in contemporary dance music, Tiga handpicked and handpaid UK legend Jacques Lu Cont and German duo Ame (Kristian Beyer & Frank Widermann) to create two remixes of the new track. Drawing on his alleged stint as Madonna's choreographer, Lu Cont pumps up the tempo for the biggest rooms you could possibly imagine. Meanwhile Ame aims for a more minimal, hypnotic approach, sure to enthrall the geniuses who frequent Germany's hottest underground dance holes.
One of the most inexhaustibly creative and exhaustingly revered musicians in electronic music, Tiga has consistently garnered as much critical acclaim as anyone could reasonably hope to garner. Two decades deep into his career and going for it like each decade could be his last, he remains a pioneer of the electronic underground.
"This song comes 100% from a universe 1000% my own. I don't mind being thought of as 'The Different Guy,' so long as all the right people love me. And they do, because it's their right to be right all night, a'ight?"

Wen doing one remix of Ladyshave in 1999, biggi veira asked Bongo to find his favorite drum and bass track and pitch it down from 45 to 33.3 to get the drums for the mix.  We then had Bongos ex girlfriend do a take on the vocal and added some synth shit.  Here is the result

The next EP on Hypercolour marks a solo return for one of the label’s early family members.
Since debuting on the imprint in 2006, Chris Sperro aka Glimpse has gone on to become
a revered master of his machinery, releasing EPs and full lengths on imprints like Cocoon,
Cadenza, Crosstown, as well as his recent collaboration with the late Martin Dawson, Fat
Controller EP, on this very label.

The release kicks off with an old Glimpse classic, ‘Caught on Train’, which is a rattling, moody
techno cut that rolls and reverberates for 8 odd minutes. Awash with the man’s usual analogue
trickery, it still sounds as good now as it did upon first release back in 2007 on his own label.
With it come three more, brand new techno missives: ‘Oafish’ is a brutish stomp with fizzing
textures, rusty synths and heavily filtered vox cutting across each other like a Cosmin TRG cut
remixed by Blawan. ‘Hubris’ on the flip has a gorgeously pinging kick drum journeying through
more watery surfaces, aqueous droplets and echoing deep space chambers. It’s amped and
ravey and sounds like little else, including previous Glimpse productions.

Finally, ‘Labbit’ goes deep and more striped back, a nagging synth line drawing you into expertly
wet claps and muted cowbell dollops. The rhythms are loose yet punchy to make perfectly
formed, seriously heavyweight body music for darkened basements everywhere. We’re clearly
biased, but honestly believe it to be some of the man’s finest work to date.

Having nurtured the precious and insular little flower that is Youandewan over the course of a number of remixes and headline slots at their own label parties around the world, Hypercolour now allow Leeds based Ewan Smith to flourish into his first full release in more than a year.

Appropriately arriving on the cultured HypeLTD, the four tracks find him moping in dreamy
melodies, lazy underwater beats and soothing circular rhythms.

Opener ‘Disarray’ features the producer’s trademark knocking beats under liquid synths that
plunge down into melancholy before rising up through the horizon like a mid-winter sun. A
female coo adds more heavy heartedness in the subtlest of ways and Smith manages to coax
some sweet sadness from his TR303 before ‘Awn’ stands a bit more proud. The pads are lush,
the 707 percussion feather light and the beats splutter and stutter as another deft sample adds
an element of heavenly vocal purity.

On the flip, ‘Undrstnd’ has a bed of buried deep kicks à la Fred P, the light dusting of percussion
comes from off in the distance and eventually an untethered, oversized square bassline sprays
about and starts a chain reaction where pools of synths implode and explode in vast underwater
caves. ‘0500’ is another of Smith’s more direct cuts, frictionless kick-clap combos echo off to
infinity below you as panning, spiralling synths and lush splashes of hi hats work to suspend you right in the midst of it all. On the cusp of breaking through since forever, this EP will likely be the assured sonic statement that sees Youandewan properly enter the discerning public’s conscious at large.

Each artist leaves their indelible mark, yet the record’s true power lies in the communal spirit at its core.

“This is a living and breathing collective,” says Avery. “Since the earliest recordings, Tremor felt like a studio in the sky, a space in time through which we could all pass as artists”, he reflects. “It’s the welcoming spirit of acid house with the doors flung open wider still to allow in every influence from my musical journey: the warmth of distortion, the stillness inside intensity, the transcendental beauty of noise...
