The Advent lleva ya unos cuantos años en esto de producir música de clubs. Francisco Ferreira (Cisco) abandonó sus estudios de estilo cuando se encontró trabajando como ingeniero de sonido para nada más y nada menos que Derrick May y Fingers Inc & Adonis. Esto le condujo a participar en las legendarias Jack Trax series. Entre sus propias producciones nos encontramos auténticos clásicos como el Space Opera's y el Cisco Ferreira EP en Fragile Records. 
En 1989 Cisco se juntó a Colin y Keith para formar el Dj trío KCC. Los tres se convirtieron en residentes de las legendarias fiestas Confusión. Estos eventos, que tenían lugar los domingos por la noche, vieron pasar por su cabina a artistas de la talla de Kid Batchelor, Richie Hawtin, Kevin Saunderson, Robert Owens, Terry Hunter o Roger Sánchez. Colin Mc Bean y Cisco Ferreira comenzaron a grabar juntos en 1990, llegando a trabajar como ingenieros de sonido con Fade II Black (a.k.a. Jay Denham ) en Bio Rhythms 2.

 Por su parte, Cisco también ha trabajado con CJ Bolland en The 4th Sign, Mantra, Camarage, Nightbreed y también con Mundo Musique y Darren Price. En 1994 Cisco fichó por Internal Recordings y formó The Advent. Desde entonces este proyecto ha publicado una serie the EPs de electro y de techno absolutamente sobresalientes Elements of Life (1994) representaba a la perfección el sonido de The Advent. Después vino el CD Shaded Elements y luego le siguió su tercer largo New Beginning's en 1997. En 1998 vendría su mix álbum Kombination Phunk en el que prestaban temas Dopplereffect, Luke Slater y Keith Tucker. 

Su relación con la causa electro también daría resultados en su aportación al catálogo de Internacional Deejay Gigoló con Time Trap Technik (Gigoló, 56). En 1999 The Advent decidieron seguir sus carreras por separado. Colin inició su propia aventura discográfica con la creación de Phoenix G Records para recuperar sus viejos alias, G Glame -con su propio sello, Alpha Recordings y Mr. G. Por su parte, Cisco continúa como The Advent y además con su propia plataforma Kombination Research Records aunque no descuida otros sellos como Tresor -de 2002 es su contundente Sketched for life para este mismo sello berlinés-, Rotation Records (el sello de Dave Angel ) y en Synewave Records. Recientemente, Cisco se ha mudado a Lisboa para darle una vida más soleada a su familia -sus orígenes se remontan a la isla de Madeira de donde emigró con sus padres a Inglaterra-. En 2005 vuelve a Tresor para entregar un álbum de estudio titulado Trinity (Tresor). 

Sin centrarse exclusivamente en el hardtechno, que lo ha hecho popular, nos podemos encontrar tanto electro y como el house más sintético a lo largo del LP. No en vano uno de las colaboraciones del álbum es la voz de Paris Da Black Fu (más conocido como Detroit Grand Pubahs ). Encargos de sellos extranjeros que no impiden que siga concentrado en sus producciones para su propio sello Kombination Research Records que mantiene con mimo.

DJ Berru founded Estratechno in 2012, a collective that helped shape the underground techno scene in Barcelona during the early 2010s by organising more than 30 club events and free parties. 

Deeply influenced by Detroit techno, but also exploring deeper and more hypnotic sounds that can range from breaks to even dub, he always tries to orchestrate a psychedelic experience for his audience when crafting his sets.

This dj set was recorded live at Sonntags’ last party, which took place at LAUT during the 2024 Sónar week. It was an exciting challenge for DJ Berru, who managed to find a beautiful balance between warming up the floor prior to Claudio PRC’s hypnotic session that came right after and living into Sonntags’ dark and visceral sound.

Producer, musician, dj, photographer, eclectic italian artist Brando Lupi blends a unique style of hypontic techno with deep haunting melodies and visionary sound-scapes: his influences range from industrial-rock to experimental electronica to modern classical.. The Italian native has had a history working alongside a number of talented artists.
He's the owner of the label Detune Records,founded in 2000.
Brando’s releases have been picked up by the likes of Orange Groove , Kompakt , Samuvar , Dewtone Recordings , Mental Groove , Detune Records and Elettronica Romana. He has composed a score for the movie “La Solitudine Dei Numeri Primi”, distributed by Medusa,with the soundtrack signed by Mike Patton ,leader of Faith No More,and presented at the 67th Venice Film Festival. He currently resides in Rome, spreading experimental spiritual frequencies across the world.

Peter is someone who sculpts sounds for many different environments - the club, the home, the gallery or even the museum. He does so with a true sense of personality. On his own label Time to Express he releases textural compositions and he also records to great acclaim as Sendai alongside Yves De Mey - In performance terms, Peter lays down dark and arresting techno sets as well as captivating, story telling live musical journeys. Because of that he is renowned around the world for his high quality, high creativity, high levels of consistency, constantly translating his personality into his music.

Revered producer and composer Daniel Avery returns with a new album and live show, his most ambitious works to date. Channelling every corner of his sound, Tremor is a bold and transportive body of work through euphoric shoegaze, submerged techno, ambient soundscape and industrial bliss. It remains unmistakably Avery, yet dramatically evolved.


With the album Avery has welcomed an inspiring cast of collaborators, including the likes of Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Walter Schreifels (Quicksand / Rival Schools), bdrmm, Julie Dawson (NewDad), yeule, Ellie, Art School Girlfriend, yunè pinku, and Cecile Believe. Each artist leaves their indelible mark, yet the record’s true power lies in the communal spirit at its core.

“This is a living and breathing collective,” says Avery. “Since the earliest recordings, Tremor felt like a studio in the sky, a space in time through which we could all pass as artists”, he reflects. “It’s the welcoming spirit of acid house with the doors flung open wider still to allow in every influence from my musical journey: the warmth of distortion, the stillness inside intensity, the transcendental beauty of noise... They have always been there in my music but now it feels like those ideas are being transmitted in Technicolor. This is a record for the post-rave comedown kids, the guitar heads and anyone else who wants to come along for the ride. Everyone is welcome.”

Tremor will be released by Avery’s new home of Domino on 31st October.
