Munich. 1994. A group buck current trends with a ground-breaking release. Tikitaka by Tamburá left aside the techno of the time to focus on a the lesser known styles of afrobeat and tribal music. The result was three tracks that sail and soar on a primal energy, three works that whisk listeners away to exotic lands of wooden wind instruments, ritualistic vocals and, even, bag pipe majesty. For twenty five years this record has been an unattainable mystery, until now that is. Kalahari Oyster Cult have lovingly restored all three of the trailblazing original tracks alongside two very special remixes. Melbourne’s Tornado Wallace adds new layers of intensity as he cuts and reshapes melodies and beats to set any floor alight with this visionary remake. Dazion offers a very different interpretation. Focusing on vocals, this new talent accentuates the shamanic-like chants of Tikitaka, using them as a base from which throbbing synth lines grow as new depths are explored. An EP every bit as daring in 2019 as it was in 1994.

Le 27 Janvier 2014 sortait le premier disque de Flavien Berger “Glitter Gaze” sur Pan European Recordings. 
Pour fêter les 7 ans de cet EP,  @ColinJohnco présente un remix nocturne du morceau “Gilded Glaze”. 

Entre les vagues du Golfe du Morbihan, le chant des oiseaux sur le sentier de Rorota et la moiteur nocturne des sirènes urbaines. Laissant se dissiper de nombreux souvenirs comme autant d’esprits magiques. Jeux de reflets qui mélangent différents paysages sonores à des nappes vaporeuses sur la basse syncopée du morceau original. 

En Septembre 2010, le Collectif Sin ~, composé alors de Flavien Berger, Erwan Evin, Quentin Caille et Paul Boudeau, sortait l’album “Sous Contrôle TV” sur le label éponyme de Colin. S’ensuivit une série de concerts et de performances à la limite du noise, écumant salles alternatives et sous-sols parisiens, parfois accompagné de Colin Johnco, présence bienveillante pour le Collectif Sin ~. Aujourd’hui le Collectif s’est agrandi regroupant plus d’une dizaine de membres. Quentin et Colin ont fondé Johnkôôl Records. Ce remix contient toute cette longue histoire, c'est un hommage à la rencontre de tous ces aventuriers qui traversent la nuit.

Revered producer and composer Daniel Avery returns with a new album and live show, his most ambitious works to date. Channelling every corner of his sound, Tremor is a bold and transportive body of work through euphoric shoegaze, submerged techno, ambient soundscape and industrial bliss. It remains unmistakably Avery, yet dramatically evolved.


With the album Avery has welcomed an inspiring cast of collaborators, including the likes of Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Walter Schreifels (Quicksand / Rival Schools), bdrmm, Julie Dawson (NewDad), yeule, Ellie, Art School Girlfriend, yunè pinku, and Cecile Believe. Each artist leaves their indelible mark, yet the record’s true power lies in the communal spirit at its core.

“This is a living and breathing collective,” says Avery. “Since the earliest recordings, Tremor felt like a studio in the sky, a space in time through which we could all pass as artists”, he reflects. “It’s the welcoming spirit of acid house with the doors flung open wider still to allow in every influence from my musical journey: the warmth of distortion, the stillness inside intensity, the transcendental beauty of noise... They have always been there in my music but now it feels like those ideas are being transmitted in Technicolor. This is a record for the post-rave comedown kids, the guitar heads and anyone else who wants to come along for the ride. Everyone is welcome.”

Tremor will be released by Avery’s new home of Domino on 31st October.
