Lost Records have drafted in Hector Couto to helm the label’s sophomore release. Straight off the bat Hector kicks off the EP with the title track “I Believe”, a hypnotic and infectious number armed to the teeth with precise hi-hats and brooding basslines. “I Believe” cements Hector Couto’s production to an ever evolving sound while setting the stage perfectly for the follow up track “Knight Riders”.

Built on similar foundations to “I Believe”, “Knight Riders” introduces a rich soundscape, playingdeep and shadowy attributes against a field of succinct vocals and lead synth lines. Closing the EP we have remix heavyweights Waifs & Strays, 2013 being a blistering year for the production duo so far, seeing them feature on a plethora of releases. The remix ticks the boxes on what is becoming a key set of signature attributes that make up the duo’s sound, welding key features of the original and pinning them into a heavier groove whilst playing off atmospheric build ups and break downs.

label founder Serge with his buddy Alden Tyrell on the case!! More then 15 year after Serge's ORX and Cospagon releases he did some studio time again and that resulted a  proper first release of this new duo!!! 
After doing some solid remixes for Gerd's Palm Leaves and Tyrell's Mike Dunn collab they continued making tracks in Tyrell's studio (which happens to be just around the corner of the Clone HQ) adding some of Serge's dj experience to the production skills of Alden Tyrell.  And we know we are biased... but we think they did some killer Chicago tracks! (and no we won't loose our job if we'd say its shite ;-)

Born and raised in Berlin, Daniel Boon is like his namesake, the American pioneer, never afraid of new pathways and ideas. And thus he moved from West Berlin to East Berlin's vibrant and trendy district Friedrichshain after the fall of the Wall. Here he was socialized with electronic music and soon began taking his first steps as a DJ in the Matrix Club in 1997. Shortly after, he started his own event series, “Electrosex”, which was accountable for numerous orgiastic party nights in various Berlin party locations. In his next endeavor, he joined forces with Oliver Tatsch: the first “Ostfunk Berlin” party was celebrated in the club Maria am Ostbahnhof in 2003. This bombshell of a party was soon followed by a new event series, “IncognitoBerlin”, held in the legendary old Tresor until the club's closing in 2005. That very year Boon and Tatsch launched Ostfunk Records, which has become one of Berlin's leading techno labels to date.
When Daniel Boon is not spinning the decks or organizing parties, he is producing new tracks. He has been releasing his own music since 2008, his first record being “Woop!” (OSTF007), which was remixed by Lützkirchen (“Drei Tage Wache”) and was received enthusiastically by critics and fans alike. In 2010, he teamed up with Stereo Jack to become JackDaniel – a high-volume techno project that saw its first release “DancingClappingScreamingShouting” (OSTF026) on Ostfunk Records in 2011.
