Berlin based Daniele Di Martino presents his next release named: Journey. It is an enigmatic two-track-EP that maintains the warmth and easiness of summer and shows the smoother side of the producer. Therefore, the first track "Journey" takes us on a trip into a bright sunset with the last warming rays of light after a relaxing and comforting day. With its ambient, flowing, buzzing and slightly mysterious power, the track fits perfectly into the world between day and night - making curious what's to come next. And when the light has slowly disappeared, we slip into a mild late-summer's night with the second track "Note". This is a straight deep house experience with hidden secrets waiting to be found and explored. Meanwhile, the body wants to start dancing into a long and tempting night - maybe leading to the familiar, as darker and harder sound of Daniele Di Martino.

Daniele Di Martino now comes back with an EP that is made for long and dark nights in the small clubs. Therefore, Di Martino goes back to his roots by creating straight deep house combined with a pushing bassline, as he does in the original version of “Faust” – providing a result that is perfect to be played somewhere in the deepness of the night when there is no time for hesitation. The second track “Different” comes a bit more melodic, includes vocal snippets and leaves space to breathe und feel – while the bass is as dark, it could dig an aisle in the middle of the dancefloor.

Daniele Di Martino’s two tracks are reduced to the minimum – thus, they present a little less of the easiness and playfulness of his former releases – however, this is no chance but the producer’s way of expressing his development as an artist.

The third track leaves a completely different impression as it is made by techno-legend Thomas Schumacher who gave “Faust” his personal interpretation. Since Schumacher is an expert in creating clear and straight-into-your-face techno sounds the result comes harder and even straighter than the original. It crowns the EP by leaving no space for thinking or dreaming and reflects the intention of the whole trilogy.

Life happens within a great framework that leaves space for unexpected and sometimes dark entanglements leading to new paths and opportunities. 

The first track of Daniele di Martino's EP "Framework" not only works in a similar way, it is also simply an exciting expedition into the world of underground music. Straight, gloomy and full of tension does it present the concept of framework as an unbreakable, forward, promising and highly magnetic experience - but be careful to find the way out of this framework just in time - otherwise you might get lost. 

The second track "Four" comes with a vibrant and strong energy. A dark and dense journey that builds up a mystic tension frequently interrupted by drops that create space to breathe before the track unrolls its full flow towards the end. Perfectly suitable for dance floors with lovers of deep and base-driven techno sounds.

We are happy to welcome Daniele Di Martino on Rural Records alongside with our label head Sascha Cawa! You might know Daniele through some of his previous releases on labels like Bar 25 Music or Stil Vor Talent. Sascha Cawa does not need a big intro either. He is one of Katermukke's founders and also resident at Katerblau in Berlin! 

Tabo, a blissful electronic number, bold yet gentle piano chords, whilst the bottom is full of warm pads that make up the soft but evident bassline. Homage & Anoma takes its roots from melodic house. Afro percussion, gentle melodies, nice and dreamy! Progressive undertones keep the journey moving! Riverside: A deeper melody takes the listener on a ride that expresses emotion.

With releases on Bar25, Stil Vor Talent and now Poesie, it’d do you good to get acquainted with Daniele Di Martino and his newest cut ‘Lumen’.

The German producer wastes no time getting to the point. The title track breathes a hot thick air around the floor while the bassline’s vibration rattles our bones. The ride is just beginning though, climactic vocals intensify the drama immensely, creating an epic ballad that keeps on giving. Where ‘lumen’ had taken a deeper route, ‘Dramatur’ take us into a darker world of hypnotizing percussive synthwork and a solid pressure building just below the surface the track hits hard and heavy. Finishing off the EP is Martin Waslewski and his acid-eccentric remix of Lumen. Martin gives the track a much rougher edge, and a heap more grit to create a real late-night monster.

Daniele Di Martino kicks off his 2020 on a strong footing with a tasteful new outing on Mono.Noise. Phantom opens up with shimmering percussive lines and rolling drums that make for dark, engaging yet hypnotic listening. Eternal is another edgy track that shows off his mastery of synth layers that keep you on your toes, while also laying down more rubbery drums to carry you late into the night. Erly Tepshi remixes and does so with a more hard hitting approach to drums, which are upright and dance, and cosmic melodies keep you looking skywards. This is exquisitely evocative house music with fantastic use of melody.
