‘Coming Home’ is the another fine original from R. Fentz, an absorbing and cavernous deep house track. Smeared pads add color to rolling rubber drums and make for something soft and supple, cuddly and inviting.

Remixing this one is Gab Rhome, a mysterious talent but one who has worked with labels like Get Physical, Last Night on Earth and All Day I Dream. He opens up space for the groove to really breathe and flow. The brightest vibe of the lot, this one evokes sunny skies, the pleasant triumph of homecoming after a journey well-traveled.

We’re so proud to have Gab Rhome join us once again with his very powerful and mystical EP ‘Volleyball In Space’. Gab starts the EP with a dance floor shuffler, ‘Mount Fuji’s Romance Federation’. The track holds plenty of energy, yet manages to fly low while still maintaining a solid heat with striking elegance. ‘Beach Bummer’ turns up the heat just a bit with deep subs and dramatic breaks – but in the end it’s the punchy house beat that keeps everything on track as Gab lays down some very moving ambience around it. And finally, he takes us for a ride in the romantic atmosphere of ‘Apres-ski nautique’, a relaxed, deep dreamy track, with an enchanting spirit to round of the EP on a smooth and beautiful note.

As it enters its 20th year of existence Belgian label Eskimo Recordings shows no sign of slowing down or scaling back its ambition. To kickstart this auspicious year the label returns with the ‘The White Collection’, the 8th release in its acclaimed ‘Co- lour Series’ and a globetrotting compilation featuring 14 tracks of leftfield electronic music drawn from 9 different countries, covering everything from cosmic disco to industrial sounding techno via Middle Eastern inspired house music and psychedelic electronic dub.
