A recurrent theme of techno is the exploration of future dystopias. Journeying between abandoned skyscrapers during the pandemic, it felt like our planet had actually arrived at one of those dystopian visions. But among the bleakness, and collective anxiety, there was a sense of serenity and hope. The skies were clear of vapour trails, the city air no longer choked with hydrocarbons, flora was pushing its way through the cracks in the asphalt, and animal life was creeping back to the urban spaces.

Towers is a reflection of these times.
