 I started rapping in 1999 under the name Killa B killed with my first solo ep titled 666 feet deep in 2001, followed by Death on waxx in 2003,and was making moves with a group titled "basement junkies"(formed in 2003, when I arrived in Everett),alongside No Name,Foul Core,CYC and Fuck face the sick citizen (r.i.p.).as the music progressed and I started really getting money I started rapping under the name"Capitol B"(Get money B),but after realizing there was already an up and coming artist out of the Northwest,I shortened it to Cap B.
I've collabed with a huge number of artists from all over and with all different genre's.
I like to describe my style as unique and of its own.but with alot of westcoast mobb style influence.
my biggest influences are: Eazy-E,Too Short,E-40,
X-Raided,DMX, Ludacris,And a handful of northwest rappers.
In 2006 I realeased the self titled"capitol b"album followed by "Independents day"in 2007.
with very little promotion I was still struggling to get my music heard.which turned out to be a good thing because I didn't feel I was putting enough time and effort into mixing and mastering which I should have been.
in 2009 I started really putting myself out there networking and collaborating with everyone Id run across that either rapped,produced or had a studio setup.by January 2010 I had my album finished titled"the new drug"which actually turned alot of heads throughout the Northwest and west coast.with the help of taz of mo chedda records I was finally getting the recognition I felt I deserved.
in January 2010 my then girlfriend brought me to a house party where I met Ricky V who had just recently started his own label along with his group black opts.
we all hit it off and I just so happened to have a copy of my newly released album(the new drug).
me,Ricky v,halo, and red dott(black opts)sat and listened to it from beginning to end.
They immediately wanted to sign me,but at the time my loyalty was with another label.
once free from that label,I immediately hit up Ricky V and we went straight to work.
the collaboration between me with my west coast grimey vibe mixed in with his southern style just seemed to make magic!!!
I am now signed to blood diamond entertainment and continue to make music alongside Ricky v and bde, and still continue to make music on the side with mo chedda records.
the rest is history!!!
