In the history of language, the Modern English “love” evolved from the Old English lufu, which encapsulated a range of meanings – sexual attraction, affection, friendliness, the love of God, love as an abstraction or personification. The word descended from Proto-Germanic, with cognates in other Germanic languages, such as the German liebe.

 

Its ultimate origin is the Proto-Indo-European root leubh- “to care, desire, love” – the same source as for words including the Sanskrit lubhyati “desires” and the Latin libido “desire, longing, sensual passion, lust”.

 

In the history of art, the concept of love has been a prominent theme. And in the 20th century, the most iconic rendition of love is surely American pop artist Robert Indiana’s LOVE. Crucially, in his work – which Indiana himself described as “verbal-visual” – the meaning of the word is reflected in its typography

DMM is an artist, engineer, and producer from Kentucky.

Musicien depuis l’âge de 13 ans, je n’ai jamais cessé d’être amoureux de la musique.
J’ai participé à un concours international francophone dans les années 80.
Par la suite, j’ai créé le groupe Top-Sonart qui a été en nomination deux fois à l’Adisq,et qui a pris fin en 1987.
J’ai ensuite écrit plusieurs chansons et musiques qui n’ont jamais joué nulle part. C’est pourquoi je les partage maintenant avec la planète par Soundcloud.

Musician since the age of 13, I have never stopped being passionate about music.
I participated in an international Francophone competition in the 80s.
Subsequently, I created the band Top-Sonart who was nominated two times at l’Adisq and which ended in 1987.
I then wrote several songs and music pieces that never played anywhere. That's why I now share them with the planet through Soundcloud.
