Today we step into a mix from a producer that has well and truly carved his name into the UK house game. Laurence Blake aka Citizenn has crafted incredible beats for the likes of 2020 Vision, MadTech and Love Fever and now, the Nottingham born producer is set to release his debut full-length, Human Interface, on the legendary Crosstown Rebels. A man of many talents, Citizenn also lends his hand to film directing and cites technology as the main inspiration for this album. “I wanted to explore this idea of humanity infusing with technology and how we have become completely dependent upon it to survive. Each track on the record is based on a particular theme of human emotion or technological/mechanical attribute and it's relation to the world of electronic music.” Now we welcome the award winning DJ into the mix with this week’s i-DJ.

Daniel Mielowski Live @ Ministry of Sound (Ft. Dada Life) - 10/05/2013

With an instinctive feeling for the right vibe, Daniel Mielowski is a DJ having successfully performed at one of the biggest club venues and events on the European scene.

His journey began with a move to London in 2008, where he immediately immersed himself in the city’s deep musical culture. Debuting on the global stage at Ministry of Sound has led him to a long list of appearances for The Gallery, such as Sudbeat Showcase with Hernan Cattaneo, Full on Fluoro with Paul Oakenfold, and his first regular residency for a fashion brand - Armani Exchange.

As well as playing at other super-clubs like Pacha and Egg LDN, he developed the unique style he has today. Daniel so far had the privilege of gracing the decks with some of the most revered names in the industry, including Paul van Dyk, Guy Mantzur, Derrick Carter, Stefano Noferini, Cid Inc, and Cosmic Gate. He opened up for legendary Dave Seaman & King Unique at one of the hottest line-ups of 2015 and headlined gigs in Malta and Slovenia.

His latest residency at Qomo Bar & Lounge in Düsseldorf brought him a chance to embrace different styles of music. From a modern dose of jazzy and soulful grooves to deeper shades of house soundtracking sunsets 172 meters up on the iconic Rhein Tower.
