'Alley Cat's current passion is her record label Kokeshi. Focusing on deep bass music across various BPMs, the label has gone from strength to strength since its inception. Welcome to mix number 003!! 

This is a special one, it is this the FIRST guest mix and also happens to be from an artist that is an absolute G in the scene and someone that I have released tracks with.

Sicknote is most known for his hard hitting breaks, jungle infused flavours sprinkled with distorted amens. He is also the co-owner of Disc World, an underground music record shop found in Deptford. With previous releases on Skeleton Recordings, Addictive Behaviour and his own label Stereocilia, he also hosts a radio show on Balamii radio well as regular record in-store days. Not that he isn't busy enough, he also has another alias by the name of Pepsi Slammer that writes 140 break beak style.

He is a massive fan of Techno, and I am super happy to have him bless the first guest mix takeover!

Jubby (Rido Remix) [Forthcoming Sonic Fiction Recordings]

This mix takes me right back to when I lived in Bristol; days spent down Park Street, nights at Lakota, Cosys, Thekla, Imperial Records, 50/50, Gloucester Road record shops etc. Full Cycle, V and all the sub labels have an immense back catalog enough for dozens of mixes but I narrowed it down to some hidden away tracks, a couple of classics and some stone cold rollers. As usual, it's a mid 90s selection :) There's a big bpm spread between these tracks so I dropped the pitch right down. This also helped bring out a lot of nice little production details that sometimes get lost in a club.
