Seiichiro Itoyama offers 4 cuts of blisteringly propulsive techno for Unknown Timeline. ‘Sand and Dust (Greyscale mix)’ and ’Substrata’ carry an introspective weight, with monotonous synth sequences supplemented by a constant flow of textured ambience and percussive elements subtly sustaining energy throughout. ’R.E.M’ and ‘Barrage’ utilize sharp and direct sounds that gradually blend into each other to create an intensely hypnotic drive.

Seiichiro Itoyama is a producer from Japan, currently based in Berlin. 
Initially diving into electronic music production as a means of personal meditation, this has become the foundation of his process - a disciplined, uncompromising focus on inducing an utterly present and hypnotic state of mind through sound.
All the above, as well as a strong desire to distinguish his sound has led him to consciously eschew  using software / hardware / modular synths as primary sound sources.
With a deep interest in film, he began to sample sounds from films.
Every sound (except the kick) is created from sounds extracted from films, processed and altered beyond recognition by effects, done entirely in the box using mainly ableton stock plugins alongside few third-party plugins.
This EP is the culmination of this process.

Seiichiro Itoyama: Substrata

Borned in 1993, Kevin Mayer (Avellaneda, Buenos Aires) is the real name of the aka Vinqenn. He started his DJ career in 2012 mixing at private partys, first digital music and later vinyls. Since there, has taken lessons in 2 sound production studios located in Buenos Aires. At the same time, he began to produce his own tracks using a DAW and machines, exploring sounds into genres like techno, minimal, ambient, noise and experimental.
In 2017 and after composing many tracks , he finds his own sound and creates his label called KMR, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in which he seeks to show his personality and meet techno & ambient artists that fit with the label essence.
