From Bob Marley’s Redemption Song to the Haitian and Israeli national anthems, REDEMPTION SONGS & SONATAS is a composer’s view of our desire to define our selves, our world, and sometimes, one another.

Eunbi Kim is a collaborator, creationist, and a dear friend. I am delighted to have created a new work for her, IT FEELS LIKE A MOUNTAIN, CHASING ME, for piano and (her) pre-recorded voice. The conversations on the recordings include an intimate landscape of her life as a young, ambitious and grateful, South Korean artist. She loves her music and her family. It's the type of work that makes me re-think all I am doing as a composer. I am so grateful to share this with you.
