To me this song is a journey through a dark forest, moving from fear & mystery to acceptance & curiosity, and eventually having an encounter with a formless elemental of light that engulfs me and then leaves as soon as it had arrived, leaving me cleansed and with a new found appreciation for the quiet desolation I find myself in. 
I like to think that it reflects my love for being by myself and only doing what I want to do in that moment without a worry for anyone or anything else, whilst also appreciating new encounters & how they can change who you are for the better.

There are many versions and different traditions of the story of the Magi and about their journey. And about their origin. Pictured on the cover is a drawing found in the 'Catalan Atlas,' a map of the world dated to the late 14th century. Pictured here are the three kings. The caption reads: “This province is called Tarshish, from which came the Three Wise Kings, and they came to Bethlehem in Judaea with their gifts and worshipped Jesus Christ, and they are entombed in the city of Cologne two days journey from Bruges.”
But where was the city (or the country) called Tarshish (Tarsis, Tharsis), whose king was already mentioned in Psalm 72?
No one, exactly, knows.

I recorded the guitar part in 2018, when bought a Guild (my Washburn had become mute ...), so the track has a lot of noise and imperfections. Then there were several attempts to organize the piece and arrange it. This could be the last one. It came rather long and slow. But long and slow was also that improbable (and hardly true) journey - perhaps one could imagine it by closing the eyes and listening to the music.

Trapped within You

I was looking out my front window the other day, getting ready to warm up my fingers to play my piano. I sat there watching the weather. It was cold and windy. It wasn't a day that invited you to go outside and enjoy the day. It was January, and springtime with green leaves and flowers were a long way off. I am not a cold weather person. I hibernate in the winter, and don't leave my house unless I have to. As I sat there I started to play a melody with my right hand, and this is the music I recorded that day. If you listen, you will hear the weather - wind, rain, thunder and birds that give you hope and beauty that Spring always follows Winter - every single year. Year after year after year. It doesn't ever get out of order. So I tell myself, "Be patient. Don't wish your life away. It goes by fast enough without wishing Spring were here already." I sigh, and go back to creating music.

Whispers On The Wind

Here’s a side project that our friend Brian Young (Wull) composed, performed the music and produced. A few years back Brian asked us if we would add vocals and Nat and I came up with this recording. Brian later released a modified version. We wanted to keep this version as well and hope you’ll enjoy it. Our thanks to Brian for inviting us into this beautiful composition that features his terrific guitar work to which we greatly enjoyed singing along. The words were authored by “NewBeginnings” (Jimmy Osborne) DUPoetry.com, but you’ll hear some minor changes made to best fit with Brian’s music.

Standing in the pouring rain
Soaked to the bone in sorrow,
I met a fellow mourner’s pain,
Along this road to no tomorrow.

She was drowning in defeat,
She braced this raging storm alone,
But she had the cutest little tweet,
I knew I had to take her home.

So, I took that bird beneath my wing,

Then a song by myself , and me and Charlotte are working on a beautiful ballad . I did say I'm slowing things down this year , so it'll be longer spaces between releases . Some songs just set a mood and feeling.  It was written in 1964 by 
Gordon Lightfoot and released in 1966.  It has been recorded by 
many artist to include Bob Dylan and Elvis.  I really like Jerry
Reed's version.
