There are many versions and different traditions of the story of the Magi and about their journey. And about their origin. Pictured on the cover is a drawing found in the 'Catalan Atlas,' a map of the world dated to the late 14th century. Pictured here are the three kings. The caption reads: “This province is called Tarshish, from which came the Three Wise Kings, and they came to Bethlehem in Judaea with their gifts and worshipped Jesus Christ, and they are entombed in the city of Cologne two days journey from Bruges.”
But where was the city (or the country) called Tarshish (Tarsis, Tharsis), whose king was already mentioned in Psalm 72?
No one, exactly, knows.

I recorded the guitar part in 2018, when bought a Guild (my Washburn had become mute ...), so the track has a lot of noise and imperfections. Then there were several attempts to organize the piece and arrange it. This could be the last one. It came rather long and slow. But long and slow was also that improbable (and hardly true) journey - perhaps one could imagine it by closing the eyes and listening to the music.

Jerry Reed- I have his autograph on my old Takemine that is just about faded out.  Jerry was just inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this year.  Love this man and his music.  I have tried to play his claw type of fingerpicking, but it is so difficult and so many types of tuning.   I dropped my guitar down 1/2 step and played in drop D tuning.  The best I can do is to try and capture a little of his style

We had the help of two great musicians (Josh McAlexander and Lawrence Farr) who brought the lyrics to life with their great voices.  I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of you guys for a great job.  Gary and his families lost their homes in the Paradise, CA fires recently and having a rough time.  We all keep him in our thoughts and pray.

Can you see the wonder in a falling leaf
The miracle of every day in all the things you see
Look at all the children laugh and play with ease
They paint their lives in colors of love and joy and peace 

Oh can we hold each other can we truly see, 
The love in one another that starts with you and me.. 
And so it comes full circle on this Christmas Eve 
Oh love is still the greatest to give and to receive..

A loving smile can heal you like a warm embrace 
Love is all that matters and all that leads to Grace 
Are we not all destined to be loving souls?
For once we shed this mortal coil we join the same unknown

So it comes full circle and giving thanks I pray
You’ll all love one another beyond this Christmas Day 
All it takes kindness, a truly selfless deed,
To change the world forever and bring us Holy peace
Oh love is all that matters
