This original song finds a woman that is soul searching and feeling deeply in need of something to reignite her inner self. Anywhere would be a step up from the mundane path she has settled for. She contemplates the changes that only she can make happen, the places and actions that must carry her upward and ahead to fulfillment.

But somehow the time just never seemed right either way
She talks to herself, as she plays with the keys in her pocket
The cobblestones glow in reflection of streetlights and rain

The more we change the more we seem to stay the same
It’s time to grow, It’s time to go, and fly away
She ain't sure where she’s going….her heart knows there’s somehow a plan

There’s a hole in her soul 
Thats’ been troubled so long
And a call to somewhere left unknown
And putting it off due to family ties, plans grew old
Hit the road to anywhere, however long, she doesn’t care
To escape was the plan all along
When she finds him, her heart will just drop, and finally be home

She walks through the doors of a tavern called “Admiral’s Daughter”
And sits in her corner seat looking at folks come and go
She keeps the seat next to her open and watches the doorway
And waits for the ghost of a sailor she knew long ago

But change will never come if she remains the same..
