13 empty bottles,  on the porch still dripping sweat
Stepping through the bottles , with a hard and icy stare
Comes a tall and sturdy cowboy, like a man without a prayer

13 empty bottles, over one full figured gal
Cause he hadn’t figured on-her, breaking out of his coral
His boots kept moving steady, down Main Street into town
Headed for the station, and the train to Galveston

Hair black as a nightmare, and eyes that laugh out loud
A smile that drives ya crazy as a, roped…and wrangled cow
She ran off with another man, but he knows where she’s gone
(pause) Waiting in the station for the train…to Galveston
(break)
And shoved into his pocket was his heart…And a gun

He gave her more than seven years, and all he could afford
He kept on falling deeper in, but lately was ignored

This track started by a keyboard improvisation with a digital flute preset. On this, I played clarinet and recorder, added some samples of bird chants and lot of percussions.

My album Fû is centered about aerial elements and woodwind. It's a kind of ode to the natural world, to the trees, to the birds and also a musical journey for any dreamer. I recommend to listen it with headphones for the best experience!

As Edgar Allan Poe was writing his famous poem "The Raven" , his young wife Virginia was severely ill with Tuberculosis (to which she would succumb 2 years later). The poems theme of a lonely man grieving for a lost love visited by a mysterious raven, invokes the grief that Poe experienced repeatedly during his life from the loss of close female figures, starting with his mother ( who died when he was aged two). Following the death of Virginia in 1847, Poe became increasingly unstable and died in mysterious circumstances only two years later, aged 40.

The video that accompanies this piece uses AI to animate Poe's photographic portrait while film clips show footage from a 1909 short film directed by D.W Griffith. The film is a non biographical re-imagining of events, that show Poe writing The Raven in order to buy medicines for his wife, who upon his return after successfully selling the poem to a publisher has tragically succumbed in his absence.

Sage Grass Cowboy - Collab by Tony and Glenny G's One Man Band - Original

Playing around with an off-kilter rhythmic idea. This was originally a movement in a larger piano sonata but I sort of prefer it on its own. Hope you enjoy!

It's You

Greetings friends and Listeners,

We love and Appreciate you all.  And today Tim Elliot & I are finally releasing our next track as the band Shekinah Fire*.  

It's called Beyond Belief * and it's an improvised Tone Poem, a harmonic flow created in the moment. It's our follow up to Shekinah Fire's first release, Radiations* @ https://soundcloud.com/gary-courtland-miles/radiations-shekinah-fire

So we trust you'll Let Go, and let your Ears, Heart and Soul guide you in this epic sonic Journey. 
For a Journey it is. 
All 16 minutes of it!   :-D 

It's an Electric Symphonic piece for Electric Guitar & Stage Piano, and is comprised of several movements that proceed in waves.   

So please  immerse yourselves in the Flow and enJOY the Changes in Tone, Harmony, Timbre, and Intensity. 

And bear in mind that Tim and I are Improvising, and doing some very Deep Listening ourselves!  So deeply in fact, that we have almost completely forgotten ourselves to the point where the Music is playing us. May you do the same... as you let it transport you to Zones and Places and Spaces you've never experienced before.

I've felt inspired by some of the great live performances on SoundCloud recently, and I was working on a track that I ended up overcooking. So I thought I'd share a nice simple one mic recording instead, just me, guitar and a sleeping dog. Also added this one to my One mic recordings playlist on my profile.
