This song came about because I thought I'd try my hand at making my very own real-instrument percussion track, just for fun and to see if Mark could flesh it out... I think he may have had a go, bless him, but, even if my tapping and shaking didn't make the cut, we got this reggae-style thing as the end result.

Undertow is an original song that tells a story by making an analogy between being taken away by a surprising, frightening ocean undertow and being wonderfully saved by a surprising, relentless love. This is another project that started with a simple live recording that Nat then fashioned into a more polished final outcome.

This is the foundation of who we are as song-writers, musicians and vocalists. We wander off into electronic, and experimental sounds, but always seem to come back to this - classic Wigmore-Allen-Gibbons!
