“Musical refreshment“ by Frankfurt based Label Refresh Your Mind goes by the name of „Sundowner“ and is primarily the work of Berlin adopted producer Mario Aureo. There Aureo is not only part of renowned club Ritter Butzke and its in-house label, but quite present on other musical imprints too. Thereby Aureo slickly moves soundwise between deep and partly melancholic sound constructs. The EPs leading track „Raindrops“ picks up the controversy of a noctural sleeplessness through a connected dreamyness caused by rain lashing down. Sleeping or dreaming, be awake or giving in to your thoughts is for you decide now. While the original gains its strength out of this dreamyness, Markus Homm's interpretation strongly focuses on the noctural aspect of not being able to rest and emphasizes this conflict by putting funky soundelements to the track, which transport the track's dreamnyness onto the dancefloor. Aureo's track „Going Back“ concentrates on deep, hypnotic and carrying chords, which are moreover focused with a male vocal that perfectly goes with the instrumental. Daniel Shepherd reduces the track's deepness in the beginning to strike back with it in a break and then puts some spooky and bleeping sounds in it to call it his own.
