The Talking Heads has always been one of my favorite bands and Once in a Lifetime has been my favorite Talking Heads track. The groove of this tracks, the lyrics and the fantastic vocals of David Byrne, it's all just amazing. Since I also really love progressive house music, I have tried, respectfully, to bring these two worlds together in this unofficial remix. I really wanted to create that super special Talking Heads vibe on the dance floors of today. Enjoy!

Originally from Miami FL, Rick began to DJ in '87. A decade later, he was introduced to House music while living in Atlanta. He was a resident for Starchildren, who had a long standing Friday night residency at Club Sol. He became a local favorite and was asked to work at Satellite Records, under Tommy Sunshine, where he held a part time job for several years. After a small hiatus and a move to Denver CO, he started a family and has now returned to his passion. His new mix series, "Unwind Your Mind", is influenced by the desire to be able to put aside your daily troubles and enjoy some music therapy. Argentina, born in the city of Mar del Plata on May 6, 1982.

Verónica in her career, has ventured into the world of music studying piano since her adolescence. Always surrounded by music which awakened her inspiration.

Years later he began to get involved in electronics and its production.

His mixes are dominated by a fine variety of sounds from the Organic House genre, going through Progressive House to Melodic Techno on some occasions and a very energetic groove that makes itself felt on the track.

Currently she continues working as a producer, studying, growing musically and creating new sounds, rediscovering herself week by week.

Amsterdam based Daniel Testas has been working as a composer, producer  and DJ for quite some time. 

His first little steps into the world of music creation were made at the beginning of the nineties. Inspired by progressive, pioneering people like Brian Eno, Juan Atkins, Pump Panel, Afrika Bombaataa and Kraftwerk, he felt the urge to take the path of music himself. 

After lots of experimentation in home studio’s, Daniel teamed up with his brother to form the Brothers Testas, creating and releasing house music on illustrious UK labels like Sperm Records and Jam Records, and playing big clubs and raves in Amsterdam.

Next up was Project2000 this exotic (live) drum&bass band had huge success at the beginning of the new millennium (releases on Universal Records). 

After that came many lounge and chill albums with Praful and Adani&Wolf (Therapy Records) andmore recently the Balearic house scene was entered with the group Bo Geste (releases on Prison entertainment and Jalapeno Records). 

But... blood runs thicker than water, so in 2015 Daniel went back to his production roots and his old, but first love: house music. That resulted in a big stream of releases on various good quality labels.

Besides these activities Daniel has always also composed a lot of electro-acoustic music. That could be either autonomous or for film, dance and video projects. In these projects almost everything that inspires Daniel in composition and production come together in an imaginative symbiosis: sampling and synthesis, abstraction, accessibility, musique concrete, soundscape-design, sound and melody counterpoint, spectral and spatial processing, beat-creation, etc

Shady&Friends is a music label rooted in the rich, emotive soundscapes of deep progressive and organic house. Emerging from Pakistan’s decade-long underground movement, the label stands as a testament to persistence, passion, and pure sonic storytelling.

Shady&Friends is more than just a label; it’s a movement. A community. A home for artists who are in it for the love of music. 

Beyond releases, the label curates boutique-style underground events that are immersive, intimate, and deeply experiential—designed to create real connections through rhythm, space, and sound.

With over 25 years of experience, and due to his exposure of genres ranging from House to Trance, Breaks to Glitch Hop and Drum ‘N Bass to Old School Techno, DJ Twister possesses the ability to mix unique, multi-genre sets that showcase the true definition of a disc jockey.
 
Twister has played alongside many legendary artists including Donald Glaude, Darude, Binary Hertz, Scott Sentinelz, Slenderman and Tom Foolery. He has also been featured on the radio from the San Francisco Bay Area’s KCRH to Seattle’s 107.7 The End.
 
Twister is part of the management team at True North Radio where he also hosts the monthly progressive house show, Digital DezHertz. He is also signed to Visceral Records and manages their sub-label Visceral Soul. 
 
Twister currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
