Born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1940, of mixed Nigerian and Ghanaian parentage, Tony Allen taught himself to play by listening to records made by the American jazz drummers Art Blakey and Max Roach. He began working as a professional musician in 1960, gigging around Lagos and variously playing highlife and jazz. Today living in Paris, Allen has long been acknowledged as Africa’s finest kit drummer and one of it's most influential musicians, the man who with Fela Anikulapo Kuti created Afrobeat - the hard driving, James Brown funk-infused, and politically engaged style which became such a dominant force in African music and whose influence continues to spread today.

Allen had to overcome strong parental opposition to realise his dream of
becoming a professional musician. “My parents were…not keen. Back then, in Lagos, musicians were more or less thought of as beggars, or worse. But I just put it in front of them. I was an electrical technician, but I wanted to make a change. My mother was never happy about it, but my father, who was an amateur musician, eventually agreed.”

Allen started out as a jazz drummer. “Art Blakey was my big influence, and before that, before I started club crawling, it was Gene Krupa. When I started, I tried to play like Gene Krupa. Then I discovered Blue Note Records and Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers - it opened up another style to me. Max Roach was important too. I studied some lessons he wrote in Down Beat magazine about how to play high-hats. Most drummers in Lagos never used them, they were just a decoration on the kit,and I’d always thought that was something incomplete.”

From his earliest years, music beat the time of his life, becoming an essential part of his identity. His favourite pastime was recording music on cassettes, creating compilations that would shape his musical taste and unique style. The sounds of 90s house music left an indelible imprint on DAST's heart and mind, profoundly influencing his musical career. Since then, he has cultivated a burning passion for creating and exploring sound, embracing a wide range of genres and styles. A phrase that perfectly defines DAST is "I think HOUSE, I act TECHNO". This musical philosophy reflects its ability to fuse the roots of house with the more futuristic and experimental sounds of techno, creating a unique and immersive sound that resonates in the hearts of electronic music fans around the world. Over the years, DAST has taken extraordinary musical paths, working with prestigious labels such as Cocoon, Etruria Beat, Planet X, Anoah, Illegal Alien and Second State. Each production has been enthusiastically received by the international music community, further cementing his reputation as a talented innovator in the contemporary electronic music scene. Through his music, DAST continues to convey profound emotions and push the boundaries of sonic creativity, leaving an indelible imprint in the soul of anyone privileged to hear him.

Salotto Italiano is a collective of DJs and musicians born in Caserta. Musical research and the need to experiment, the bread and butter of this group of 00' class boys, mature a passion for jazz, funk, disco, afro, house and light music sounds without geographic and temporal boundaries. Djing and played music merge, resulting in a hybrid live-set that simultaneously brings records and musical instruments to the stage. The notes of the live-set match and adapt to the situation, making the collective's lineup and live sound always different.

Michele Tiberio, DJ and producer born and raised in Napoli, Italy, is quickly
establishing himself as a rising star in the electronic music scene. With a sound that spans
minimal/deep tech, house, funky house, and tech house, Michele is renowned for his
percussive grooves and melodic touches, which bring fresh energy to his performances and
productions.
His talent and unique style have not gone unnoticed, earning him support from some of the
biggest names in the industry, including Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Franky
Rizardo, East End Dubs, Dennis Cruz, and many others. 
He has also released music on
respected labels such as LTF, Sound D'elité, Muse and Moxy.
This year has been a milestone in Michele’s career, as he has taken his music beyond Italy,
performing at prestigious venues and events across Europe. Remarkable appearances include the
iconic Mixmag sessions, a standout set at Nook Club in Bucharest, and performances in
cultural hubs like Amsterdam, Vicenza, and his hometown of Napoli. Each show has allowed
him to connect with audiences on an international level, further solidifying his reputation as a
dynamic and captivating performer.
