Oli is resident at Sankeys in Manchester and the owner of the always excellent Music Is Love label.

Music Is Love has a simple ethos, which is to represent substance, quality and diversity - themes that are all wrapped around the basic house music foundation. To be completely honest, we know about as much about Escape as you do at this point, aside from the fact’s that he’s from Glasgow and has recently been discovered by Aus Music's Will Saul who’s lined him up for a series of EPs in 2015. It’s fair to say that we trust the taste of the label boss considering he's been bringing his sound to Room Two for years now, so we were more than willing to give the green light to the fledgling producer's debut set here this coming Saturday night for the next Aus Music takeover on Room Two.

To give us an indication on what he or she is about, Escape has dropped us an exclusive mix and from what we can hear it’s telling of a sound that's texturally rich, big on the emotive melodies and doesn't hold back from employing rolling bass lines in the right spots. This for us sits neatly alongside the roster on his newly found home of Aus and we're certainly eagerly waiting to hear what's in store from this new talent.

ESCAPE - fabric x Aus Music Mix

Sometimes an artist's formative musical influences come from some of the most surprising of places; places which don't have such a linear relationship to the music they go on to create themselves. It’s undoubtedly different for everyone depending on one’s early exposure to sounds whether it was osmosis via an older brother's rave tapes or through the influence of the neighbourhood garage bands.

Sable Sheep throws up a surprise riffing on this theme when we asked him to introduce himself, finding a clear line from the metal bands of his youth to his techno production today. He must be getting something right, as he's already, after just a short few years of releasing records, become a firm part of the Moon Harbour family and the Desolat roster. He's also set to make his Farringdon debut in a couple of weekend’s time after being invited by Eddie Richards and Terry Francis to showcase his take on four four up in the Demo hosted Room Three…

This coming Saturday night a club night with the same *ahem*… 'maturity' as our beloved party space will be bringing its own intimate spirit to Room Three. Founded in 1999 by Ali Tillett during his student days in Bournemouth, Warm was founded on a solid and open minded approach to selecting and DJing. The night built itself up the old school way: through tireless work on the streets and through the careful selections of their guests which have included celebrated artists like Ame, Dixon and Jazzanova who were always carefully backed up by Warm’s solid residents. Fifteen years later Warm is still a welcome fixture on the clubbing landscape, so to shine a bit of light on their past and what we can expect when they takeover Room Three this weekend, we asked Warm’s main man Ali Tillett to record us a special mix and share a few words…

Whether as an artist or a record label, attempting to stand out in today’s increasingly saturated electronic music scene is no easy feat, though some people seem to have the knack of making both look incredibly easy. Throughout recent years the British DJ, producer and label owner, Oli Furness has been earning global respect, securing international bookings from Japan to Ibiza and appearances at major festivals such as Glastonbury, as well as a cementing himself as a renowned resident at Manchester’s Sankeys. Furthermore his burgeoning reputation as a producer has seen him release the best part of 20 singles across the likes of NDV, Wax Classic, Morris/Audio and Tact Recordings. That's not even to mention his very own Music Is Love imprint, the success of which has been particularly fruitful, with the likes of Liam Geddes, Jamie Trench, Tuccillo, Mr KS and Jonny Cade all making appearances since its inception back in 2012. 

This year looks to be exceptionally propitious with the addition of his new sub-label, MIL, as well as a management company sharing the same name providing further testaments to Oli’s mounting reputation as one of the most auspicious and multifaceted young guns in modern day house music. Ahead of his appearance here in Farringdon on Saturday (7th March) where he’ll be playing alongside Terry Francis and Eddie Richards in the Demo hosted Room Three, we caught up with Oli Furness to hear about his goals for the year ahead of him.

The attentive followers among you will have probably seen <a href="http://www.fabriclondon.com/artist/view/samul" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Samu.l</a>'s name on a few of our flyers over the past few years. He's played across all of our three floors repping his ever evolving expression of house and techno as the setting demands. He's evidently an artist with talent. He's been asked by Shenoda, Hector &amp; Jay Tripwire to remix their original productions as well as being picked up by One Records and Dogmatik for releases. With recommendations from some of the best in the game and an ever building repertoire of standout releases under his belt, we're happy to have Samu.l returning to Room One this March (7th March) where he joins Magda and Craig Richards in Room One. 

Samu.l dropped us a line the other week, offering us a taste of an exclusive new mix that demonstrates what records are at the top of his bag at the moment. It’s also a great insight into what we can expect from his set in just over a week's time, so of course we snapped him up on his offer and are happy to be able to present his selections here.
