Dank’N’Dirty is back again with its annual compilation releasing on April 20th worldwide.

Following the milestone of ‘12 years of Dank’ the 2022 compilation comes with 12 carefully curated tracks to make the perfect soundtrack to your 4/20 celebrations.

‘Pushloop’ kicks off the compilation dripping with dubby chords, atmospheric guitar & tension building strings with ‘Easy Morning’, which is followed by ‘Caidance’ with the guitar heavy soundtrack-esque floor shaker ‘Falls Creek’ to round off the organic opening to the compilation.

‘Elefant Doc & Dillard’ start the Dubwise vibes in ‘Ona Run Dub’. ‘Nightmare & Oni’ follow up this with their first track on the label bringing us the room shaking ‘Souljah Stance’. Dubstep legends ‘L-Wiz’ step up to round off this vibe with their musical journey ‘Easier To Lie’.

‘Requake’ & ‘Mambele’ remind us of their contribution to the 2014 4/20 compilation with the brand new VIP version of ‘Karamel’. This one is seriously heavy!

‘Jafu’ starts the second half of this compilation with the jazzy g-funk journey ‘2am Smoke’ only to have fellow vibe king ‘Trashbat’ follow up with the smoker anthem ‘Late At Night’.

Label veteran ‘Khromi’ brings his signature jazz & shuffle vibes with ‘Wax’ while fellow label mate ‘Oakin’ follows up with his own unique flavor with ‘New Horizons’.

‘The Widdler’ treats us with the sonic adventure ‘Champagne’ bringing his signature arps, flutes & drum shuffles together in a unique way for this jazzy roller.

Newcomer to the label ‘Lacu’ brings the album closer to this year's compilation with the breaky atmospheric journey ‘Through Clouds’.

Sashwat is a US-based DJ, producer, and label owner that has been pushing high quality bass music since 2007. He's played alongside Avicii, D. Ramirez, The Widdler, Commodo, Swindle, Antiserum, Roommate, Coki, Distance, Truth, Reid Speed, HULK, Goldie, DJ Marky, 6Blocc, AK1200, Hellfire Machina, DJ Kue, Sub Swara, Kraddy, and more. Sashwat's monthly mixes, which he's been releasing since 2007, have featured countless genres such as dubstep, garage, hip hop, dub/reggae, jazz, deep/progressive/electro house, trance, techno, breaks, downtempo, drum and bass, and goa-psychedelic. In 2009, these mixes began airing consistently on the Digitally Imported Drum & Bass channel until the launch of his Dank 'N' Dirty Dubz radio show in January of 2010, which coincided with the launch of the Digitally Imported Dubstep channel.

A year later, in December of 2010, Sashwat expanded his Dank 'N' Dirty Dubz radio show into a bass music label, focusing on a wide variety of forward-thinking sub-genres. The labels releases have received support from the likes of Skream, Funtcase, Downlink, Matty G, NumberNin6, Brown & Gammon, J:Kenzo, DJ Wonder, DJ Allbury, Distance, Von D, Eptic, Genetix, Riskotheque, LOST, and Mat The Alien, to name a few.

In 2012, Sashwat took on the role of Channel Director for Digitally Imported Dubstep and launched the Digitally Imported Liquid Dubstep channel. He hand-picks the content that airs on both channels, catering to thousands of listeners 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Claes Rosén and Ola Näslund from Nynäshamn, located south from the city of Stockholm, Sweden, form the duo respectively known as L-Wiz.

Although not from UK Shores like much of the early pioneers of the Dubstep sound, their love for UK Bass Music in the early noughties put them on the path to being one of the early contributors to the emerging genre of Dubstep.  A UK genre which has since gone on to influence many aspects of popular mainstream bass music culture today.

In 2003 they reached out to Caspa, through what was back then the legendary dubplate.net forum. One of the only forums where the early originators and pioneers of the sound were able to connect and share ideas outside of the physical realm of clubland, where CD’s would pass hands as frequently as tracks pass digitally over Bandcamp today.

This fateful interaction, culminated in the first L-Wiz release on what the beginning of the irrefutable Dub Police label (Dub Police 001 – Habibi, Egyptic, Girlfriend). From then on L -Wiz has had a slew of releases on labels such as Universal Music, Sony Music, Kapsize, Destructive Recordings, Sonic Boom, Red Volume and their crew label All Out Dubstep.

Recognition of the Duo’s achievement in this sphere, led to them winning the P3 Gold music prize in 2012 for “Dance of the Year” from the Swedish radio channel Sveriges Radio P3, the first Dubstep act to win this award in at that time was the 9th year in the ceremony’s history.

In 2015 they released their debut Album entitled “The Orange Tree”. A showcase of the duo’s unique style which features 15 tracks. The album is an eclectic combination of ideas which are the culmination of the pair’s passion and sonic history, blended together in a sublime manner which has delighted both fans of old and the new Dubstep “new guard” whom are championing this sound for the future.

In recent years the duo have expanded into the area of label management, with the launch of their record label NA Records in 2018. With this they can continue to provide an outlet for their sound and to use it as a platform to launch other’s whose sounds resonate with their own time and space.
