Masterfully rewoven and reedited by man of the moment Hardwell, Mark Knight and Funkagenda’s anthemic ‘Man With The Red Face’ has been reinterpreted into a fizzing big room, high energy mix crafted to fill the largest and loudest festival arenas. 

A monumental track in the history of Toolroom Records, Mark Knight and Funkagenda’s cover of Laurent Garnier’s ‘Man With The Red Face’ cemented the label’s position in the dance music scene, winning ‘Best Ibiza Track 2008’ at Pacha’s Ibiza DJ Awards and Beatport’s ‘Best Tech House Track of 2008’.

Since his first EP with Toolroom back in 2010, the synergy between Hardwell and the label has grown into a fruitful pairing that has laid witnessed to the chart topping single ‘Three triangles (Losing My Religion)’ and various appearance for the Toolroom parties that have spread around the world including a guest slot at the their former residency at Space in Ibiza.

10 years can pass in an instant, until you look back on the remarkable history of one of the most influential record labels in EDM. At this point in the game, so many of the industry’s rising stars and established names owe their success at least in part to Armada Music, and the legacy is unwavering.
The celebratory 3 set compilation released late 2013 featured so much talent that it’s hard to believe it could all fit into a decade. Despite including legendary pioneers such as Chicane, Gabriel and Dresden, Faithless, Way Out West, and Paul Oakenfold (to pick just a small few), the album was far from complete. So, Armada added in newer talents like W&W, NERVO, Audien, and Kat Krazy. And yet, the compilation still wasn’t finished…
And so, despite the original record featuring 69 groundbreaking tracks, the need for ’10 Years Armada – The Anniversary Remixes’ was born. In this third volume of the remix EP series, a new batch of shining talents find their place amongst the stars.
Finnish producer Joonas Hahmo takes an epic crack at remixing the Stafford Brothers, Dabruck & Klein, and Ollie James with his hard-hitting, deep, and soulful rework of ‘Get Away’.
Not to be outdone, Orjan Nilsen does what he does best with an emotional, impactful re-imagination of Audien feat. Michael S. – ‘Leaving You’. Upbeat synth chords supplement the original vocals in a way that has to be heard to be believed.
Bringing up the third remix is Kill the Buzz, yet another EDM talent to hail from Breda, The Netherlands. His big-room, anthemic synths saw immediate support from Hardwell’s radio show, and it’s not hard to understand why.
’10 Years Armada – The Anniversary Remixes Vol. 3’ is now available from Armada music, and is a reminder of not only the sterling past, but also the bright future of the label.

Its why we think her vocals always do so well with dance music. Holding onto Heaven was definitely a fun challenge for us to remix. The original is very far from a dance track and we wanted to think out of the box and do something unusual with the vocal. Additionally there were so many cinematic parts to the song to use particularly the string. Quickie from us: "So its really great when coincidences and fate find each other, because that is what happened… We absolutely were in love with this summer anthem by smallpools, it reeked of fresh cut grass and the afternoon sun... So when their ppl reached out to us about doing a remix it was the easiest decision ever. We can't say it wasn't a challenge though with such a strong vocal, but we really wanted to pin it up against the classic 'house music pluck' we have been hearing so much of, but use it in a vain that felt a bit different but still large, but finding that union was tough in the sense the two had to warm up to each other rather than clash... but in the end we think we found this great atmosphere for the song to exist."
