Stigmato Inc is an international group based in Barcelona and is composed of musicians of different nationalities, two Americans, three Spainards and one Cuban. The group initiated in the year 2001 following an encounter between the producers and musicians Tito Rosell, Carlos Sanchez with the American vocalist and lyricist-composer Danna Leese. Other band members, saxophonist David Riberas, flutist Terence Butler and percussionist Justin Miranda were later incorporated into the group.

Stigmato Inc is an electronic musical group which mixes acoustic instruments fused with Nu jazz, Soul and Latin influences. The final result is quite unique and varied.The group’s repertoire is designed for the dance floor as well as downtempo cuts for more ambient atmospheres.

Their first’s album musical composition “Reality Check” was included in the soundtrack of Oliver Stone’s, Wallstreet 2, Money Never Sleeps. The film’s soundtrack is shared with other artists like David Byrne, Brian Eno and Craig David.

Stigmato Inc songs have been included on countless international lounge music compilations around the world such as the prestigious Hotel Costes (volume 6) and ‘ The Best of Chill-Out ‘distributed by Sony under IRMA Records(IT). Also the song was placed on the Playstation 2 video game ‘ILLUMINES’. And the world famous dj and producer, KASCADE remixed “Strive to Be Happy” With ‘Utensils Recordings(USA).

Worldwide they have offered performances which has been described as both elegant and animated. From their live appearances in well-known and established venues such as ‘Opium Garden’ in Miami, ‘Jet Set’ of Moscow and ‘Space’ in Ibiza, their concerts have been successful thanks to their showmanship, superb musicians, entertaining visuals and exquisite seducing sounds that create an ambient that has been said to boost the senses.

As a spectator Stigmato Inc leaves no one indifferent. Quality, sophistication, from dance to lounge, for all ages, this project is no doubt thumbs up!

Its really amazing how a song can take you back in time and make you smile from the inside. Well, that's exactly what happened at this years "House Music Pool Party" in Atlanta. Legendary Detroit DJ Al Ester dropped another version of this 1981 classic by Stephanie Mills featuring the incomparable  "Teddy P" and produced by the iconic Mtume. To put it mildly  (I totally lost it). As soon as I got back to Miami I began to create my version. I hope you enjoy... Let's Dance!!!  \o/

BIOGRAPHY
Danna Leese was born and raised in Washington D.C. Gospel choir, musical theatre and childhood music studies enhanced her desire for the stage. Her style has been influenced and inspired by many genres of music but R&B, hip hop and soulful house are her institutions.
 
She is a familiar face in several cities and in many musical ambients around the globe.Privilege,Space and Amnesia of Ibiza, Cielo in NYC, Dreamers in Marbella, Club 29 and 360 in Istanbul,Barbeast Bodrum, Fire in London and Buddha Bar in Paris and various upscale private events around the world.Her most recent were for DSQUARED Dare to bare party, MANGO Fashion Show party, Davos Economic Summit, NOVO NORDISK annual conventions to name just a few. 
Her corporate and wedding events includes a huge repertoire of top 40 tracks, 70’s - 80’s, Jazz, Soul, R&B and commercial recent dance tracks.


She has sung in many important International Music Festivals: BOOM, Victoria Jazz and was the opening act for George Benson and James Brown in Barcelona’s Grec festival with her Acid jazz group Princes of Time. She has a performance history in theatre and theatrical studies and has worked with the internationally acclaimed theatre company "la Fura dels Baus" .
 
Her electro-lounge house group, Stigmato Inc received great international recognition with the single"Reality Check" appearing in Hotel Costes CD (6th edition). The song also was chosen for ‘Oliver Stone's’, Wall Street 2 "Money Never Sleeps". And the group Stigmato also performed in Miami's Winter Conference in Opium Gardens (05). DJ Kascade remixed Stigmato’s second "Strive to BeHappy".
 One of world famous Dj and producer Kascade remixed their song ‘Strive to be Happy’ to hit the charts. 

Danna’s latest clubbing hits are ‘Rise Up’ with Dik Lewis on Matinee Group compilations 2011, ‘Let it Go!’ with Dj Alex Seda under Nervous Records and ‘Jet Set’with Javi Mula with Blanco Y Negro. 

Other many songs and vocals have been released under recording labels such as VALE Music (Spain), IRMA (Italy), Apricot (Fr), Solar Sides/Private Lounge (Fr) and Utensils Records (USA).

 She has shared the stage with well celebrity dj’s such as David Morales, Bob Sinclair, Mark Vedo, Javi Mula, Carlos Gallardo and Maxi Jazz of ‘Faithless’. 

She currently resides in Istanbul and Barcelona and has been in Europe for more than a decade. This powerhouse performer, composer and singer has a talent for creating 'Good Times' with foot stomping vibes.
 
On stage she is a vocal instrument that has dynamic presence, rhythm and endless creativity. 
Her clubbing sessions with DJ are colored with vocal diversity, riffs, rhythmical sounds, familiar and unfamiliar melodies are executed in her concerts and are accompanied by musicians and visuals to achieve continual flow of surprises and heart thumping vibes! Skilled improvisation is mixed in to keep it fresh!
Her songs and productions are a fusion of many styles.
