Restored from the Vault – September 2000 Vinyl Mix - Now on Mixcloud.
I finally managed to bring this old gem back to life! This is the mix CD I recorded way back in September 2000 – a full-on vinyl session that had sadly become unlistenable over time due to glitches and dropouts at the end of this CD. The original recording was toast.
So I dug deep into my massive vinyl archive to track down the original records. With a little help from Ekki Eléctrico of Trio Eléctrico (Thomas Eckert), I was able to ID that one elusive track. Big shoutout!
I’ve now re-recorded the final three tracks and blended them seamlessly with the old recording. The flow is back. It all fits again.
This mix is a ride: spacey, groovy, trippy, a bit slow to start – but it picks up speed towards the end. All timeless stuff. The sound still bangs, especially on a proper system.
So press play and enjoy the trip.

mighi launch sucessfully his single called ''Nightlife'' with a vocal colaboration with a singer from rhode island, an its now available in itunes worldwide, and remixed sucessfully the track of the us band Owl city "When can i see you Again " included in the disney movie wreck it ralph, mighi has recently performed in Europe at La Fête de la Musique 2015 à Paris, and Rex club, panic room in paris, 2016 lived at Trinidad and Tobago where he shared stage with Major Lazer and Received a lot influences by Soca music at trinidad famous Carnival.

also later in his hometown caracas he was involved as residented dj in 4 of the must successfully clubs and lounges in caracas his main project called el bar caracas en el tamanaco, where he throwed partys every weekend the club was top in the city, where latin super stars like zion, servando y florentino, rawayana, and many others went to party.

My heart belongs to the emotional direction with slightly strange accents. Somewhere between trip-hop, soulful, jazzy, funky with a touch of dystopia. - What do you think?
Occasionally, depending on my mood, it takes me into other directions such as psychedelic, rock, electronic, etc., in order to ultimately find my way back to my original musical love. Music is really fun, right?

A few words about the name of this project:
Originally planned as a satirical advertising campaign that offers everyone the opportunity to shoot the little things of life in memory time capsules on the moon.
After realizing that space suits are damned expensive and the unanswered question of who could recover the whole thing centuries later for a historical evaluation, the decision to start something else called fakeproject made it easy to start something else.

DJ G.I.D., a true pioneer of the electronic music scene in Koblenz / Germany, kicked off the very first Groovalistic Party in 1995, alongside his DJ buddies and friends, M-Pire and Oldcut. Throughout the '90s and '00s, they took over nearly every club in and around Koblenz, showcasing their distinctive blend of Electrofunk, BigBeat, Drum'n'Bass, Jungle, Breakbeat, Downbeat, and Dub. The Groovalistic Party soared in fame beyond the confines of Koblenz, often packing clubs to the brim, sometimes with crowds exceeding 1,000 people – sheer madness! This popularity allowed them to host renowned guests from Germany, Austria, and especially England, including DJs, live bands, and video artists. But the Groovalistic DJs Oldcut, G.I.D., and M-Pire didn't just stay local; they toured across Germany and neighboring countries.

Now at 56, G.I.D. remains a fervent vinyl enthusiast and passionate DJ. Once known for carrying hefty crates of records, he has since embraced digital DJing and amassed a vast collection of digital tracks. Always on the hunt for something new, he has continually broadened his musical tastes: from Downtempo to Global Bass, Electronic Worldbeats, and experimental Bass and Dubstep stuff, whether straightforward or playful – no two sets are ever the same. His sets are versatile, thrilling, and full of variety. We're all eager to see what musical journey he'll take us on next.
