The Cab Drivers ZKY and Daniel Paul have both thrived from the Berlin Underground in the early 90′. Their fuelled energy and thriving groove always guarantees a good dance.
Well known for their exquisite collection and big range of genres, they cater the clubs with a particular and peculiar vibe, making each of those dance floor moments unforgettable.
Since 1992 the Cab Drivers create an outstanding and incomparable style, constantly contributing to the scene and making a name for themselves.
In 1995 they founded their legendary Label Cabinet Records which goes along with great artists like Brawther, Audio Werner, DJ Honesty, Youandewan and many more.
The creation of the label has made them the first to forge a new aesthetic in house and techno music. Advanced 909 programming, a clean minimalistic sound design with straight forward patterns and subtle lines of funk and latin melodies are shaping their identity. And of course driving baselines.
In the same year the name of the Cab Drivers were born: “After releasing under our aliases like Horsehoe, Abrax, Princes, Karo, Feeding Cup and Compass to name a few, we thought it was time for another alias Cab Drivers: cab the short form of cabinet + drivers – we who drive the label”.
Since their foundation 25 years ago, Cab Drivers have put a string of releases on numerous labels, including their own Cabinet Records and its sublabels Eclipser Chaser, Rund, Ground Service Records, which still shape us musically today.
Releases on reputable labels such as Stickman Records, Plus 8, Dance Arena Productions, Elecktrick and 7th City, are just a few to mention.
They keep those 12-inches coming in forms of countless remixes on imprints like One Records, Politics of Dancing, Cosmo, Invade, Djebali, Pets, HedZup, Berg Audio, Constant Sound and more.
Collaborations with relevant artists like Chez Damier, Daniel Bell and Politics of Dancing are a strong impact even today.
Defined and driven by curiosity the Berlin Pioneers have been performing as professional live acts as well. Without any doubt playing live is still a sophisticated and rare domain to perform. Addicted to music and djing they keep a high level in the league. Their ability to give a free rain to desire and creativity allows the power of invention grow and flourish.
While serving dancefloors as live & DJ acts around the globe, Cab Drivers quickly shaped a peculiar sound niche of their own. Tresor, Heideglühen, Fabric, Sankeys, Rex Club, Fuse, Harry Klein, D-Edge, Gazgolder, Club Guesthouse, Le Journal de la Musique, Studio 338 or Pratersauna are just a few clubs to mention.

Alex, having started his DJ career in Spain, and in the humble surroundings of many a local bar, the nineties were spent learning the basic skills so often lacking in today’s break-through ‘DJs’. Eventually catching the ear of someone that mattered, Arnout began playing more familiar outposts like DC10 and Pin Up in Ibiza, Dance Valley in Amsterdam and Circo Loco in London, for whom he has been resident for the last few years. On top of that, his finely sequenced journeys through all things house have also won him a residency at London’s definitive Sunday session, Fuse, as well as gigs at fabric.

"When I picked records and songs for this mix I wanted to include a lot of tracks that are timeless and not trendy. Important tracks are in my arsenal of music. I don’t own CDJs so I did the mix on my 1200s. These songs kind of reflect the epitome of the sound in an underground party, from any era. I ended the mix with an old Get F*cked track, because I love that record, and it's perfect for closing out a party or a mix. Nathan Coles and I have been homies for over 20 years. I recorded the mix a few weeks before passed and it makes the mix mean something more to me than just doing a cool DJ mix. RIP Nathan Coles, I always share the gifts you gave us in the form of music, and you will live on thru the hundreds of songs."

Music is present even in laboratory analysis. Christine Schieffer measures dance algorithms empirically.

There is a demonstration class at the Department of Experimental Phonetics and Speech Synthesis. The choir of humanoid students generates an accompaniment of different keys. The teachers closely follow their practical work. These wanna-be signal analysts and intergalactic translators may be among the participants. Sound adjustments are made by Enzo Leep using dense percussion, Phoq causes acoustic mutations, and Krissky conducts instrumental bundles.

Danni B has been a regular fixture in the Australian & European club scene for almost 2 decade’s. Danni’s journey started when she conceived “Tickled Pink Events”, in Melbourne in 2004, which toured international artists such as Dyed Soundorom & Christian Burkhardt to Australia. She successfully ran TP for 8 years, and this experience definitely raised her desire for the scene overseas. 

Danni hit the international scene in 2011 when she played her first gigs in Berlin & Prague. It didn’t take long for Danni to realise that she belonged in Berlin; relocating in 2012 where she quickly gained a following and lined up regular gigs locally and then beyond to tour though Europe.    

In early 2017 she formed a friendship that quickly turned into a musical partnership with, Monika Ross. They started their side project: “Dannika Boss”, and have been touring together ever since. 

In April 2019 Danni decided it was time to spend some more time on home soil, so she relocated to Sydney. She recently launched her own touring & events company, DB Touring & is focusing on bringing talent from overseas to further develop the scene in Australia. She already has Oshana, John Dimas, Ben Balance & Ida Daugaard on her roster.
