The collaboration came about after both acts met up on the global festival circuit throughout 2012. Creative emails flew back and forth across Europe before the trio finally settled on the skeleton of ‘Mammoth’ as a potential new track. I said to myself, with the right mix this could be something huge, so we got into the studio together and at the end, we had the finished mix that you know now.”

After the obligatory winter release break, Axtone Records are pleased to welcome Belgian brothers & super duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike to the label for their debut single on Axwell's imprint.

Longtime friends of the label Dimitri & Mike have previously remixed, and it's fair to say made their own, the original Swedish House Mafia anthem 'Leave The World Behind' by Axwell, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Laidback Luke, Abel Ramos's 'Rotterdam City of Love' and most recently David Tort ft Gosha 'One Look' alongside Axwell himself.

One of the most promising talents to emerge in the modern progressive house scene is Nigel Good, whose work is always equal parts melodic beauty, soul, and technical precision. Prior to this EP, we have had the great privilege of releasing numerous remixes by Nigel -- from his Above & Beyond-supported remix of Johan Vilborg's "Altara" to the more recent Myon & Shane 54-featured remix of Aerosoul's "Time Is By Your Side". Yet, this latest release is truly unprecedented for Nigel in terms of quantity and quality: 3 brand new, original progressive cuts, in which he not only showcases his songwriting ability, but also his latest bleeding-edge sound design techniques. In consideration of the fact that Nigel has just become a permanent co-host of "Only Silk" radio, which has officially represented the music of Silk Digital since the label's inception, we could think of no better way to acknowledge this pivotal moment in the label's history than a truly inspired trifecta of tracks by the Canadian phenom.

"This Is You" is the first of two tracks on the release that feature the vocals of Sarah Clark. A cinematic introduction includes various piano riffs and filtered string sounds; make no mistake, this is an artist at the top of his game making a deliberately ambitious (and moving) opening statement to his EP. At the quarter turn, the main rhythm finally arrives -- refreshingly, it's a "triplet" beat, which lends the track a gallop-like cadence. Meanwhile, as the strings continue to ebb in and out, we are offered glimmers of Clark's gorgeous vocal, as disconnected words and phrases are ethereally rendered. In the main break, Nigel's poignant piano and euphoric, crescendoing chords join forces with Clark's vocal, to truly awe-inspiring effect.

The subsequent track, "Always Running", holds a special place in our hearts, as it's quite similar in arrangement to the great melodic progressive house anthems of yesteryear. More specifically, it features an almost achingly beautiful lead chord progression, reminiscent of the melancholy, yet uplifting melodic style of original label music Mango. The unique feature of Nigel's work is that he pays homage to these influences, while lending his tracks a modern dancefloor sensibility. In this song, the delicate chords are introduced early in a mini-break, followed by a few rapturous "teaser" vox by Clark. From this moment, the free-flowing strings and hyper-melodic lead chords guide the track along, evoking a "floating-on-air" sensation in the listener. As the track proceeds toward the main break, innovative rhythmic fills and reverses keep the beat fresh. We finally arrive at the main break, where Clark's angelic voice dominants the foreground, while the chords crescendo behind her. While the first half of the tune can fairly be described as a great "listening" or even "driving" tune, the drop that follows at this juncture is purely dancefloor-centered: intended, it would seem, not for an arena, but rather an intimate setting of close friends.

Finally, the EP closes with "The Balance", by far the most energetic and melodically "resonant" of the three cuts. It explosively jets out of the gate, with a gut-busting kick and snare pattern, as the chord progression begins to slowly trickle into the mix. Meanwhile, in the background, various side-chained pads tickle the ear and provide Nigel's quintessentially euphoric string texture. Soon thereafter, Nigel begins to splice in distorted, robotic vox effects, which tremolo in the stereo spectrum and enhance the groove, rather than interrupting it. In the main break, the filter automation on the lead chords gives the track a crescendoing, tidal power, as it propels once again into the drop.

Dannic, the highly prodigious DJ and producer from Breda in the Netherlands – the hometown of Tiësto and Hardwell - is one of the hottest acts to have emerged from the new generation of Dutch artists breaking through in recent years. His phenomenal rise to #26 in the 2015 DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll, a 4 place rise after a sensational jump of 34 places in the 2014 poll to #30, following his #74 debut back in 2013 confirms to tastemakers that he is set to remain a driving force within the scene. Surging his way to the forefront of the booming electronic scene and making his mark not only on Revealed Recordings throughout his career but also blazing a trail with the launch of his own imprint FONK Recordings, Dannic has managed to cast off previous associations and step forward as a respected artist in his own right, repeatedly blowing away fans with a slew of sensational releases, collaborations and of course, titanic DJ shows.

Daan Romers (in real life) won the Dancetour DJ contest in 2009 and a slot playing his productions to an audience of 10,000 people. Having started out as a DJ 10 years ago Dannic earned his stripes the old fashioned way, playing bars and small clubs, honing his craft. As Dannic says “It's funny because a lot of people know me as a producer but I like to see myself as a DJ who started producing”. It was only when he wanted to set himself apart from other DJs that he began experimenting with production and creating mash-ups to add something special 

Dannic has repeatedly demonstrated to colossal audiences, whilst on tour, his skills and tight technique as a DJ. His ability to read the crowd shone through proving he can mix it with the world’s best, as he delivered sets varying from peak time madness to low slung, sexy, funky grooves. With the pinnacle of the tour being a main stage set at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Dannic has undeniably joined the upper echelons of the dance music scene. This unrelenting schedule has been interspersed with dates across the globe and appearances at the summer’s hottest festivals including spell binding sets at Electric Zoo, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, Mysteryland, Dance Valley and TomorrowWorld.

As 2014 kicked off, Dannic returned to Revealed Recordings, where he released his first record just a few short years ago, to lay down his first release on the label since mid-2013, ‘Lion’, followed by heavy hitters including ‘Blueprint’ , his first vocal track ‘Dear Life’ and collab with Dyro ‘Radical’, cementing him as a firm fan favourite. Across his releases, Dannic had created art which forms the ideal synergy between himself and his fans, club focused and in bringing instant energy to any party.
