After 12 years out of the game, Future Signal are back and not just with new music. We’re launching a brand-new label: Cognition Records. Keeping things simple, keeping things rolling, keeping things raw the first release is coming!

This first release had to be our own FS dubs and we bring you two absolute weapons: Plot Hole and Shadow Pursuit.

First up, Plot Hole—this one’s all about the drop, but winds through eerie atmospherics before slamming you straight into a precision-engineered banger. Razor-sharp drums, deep, rolling bassline, and that unmistakable Future Signal energy. A proper stomper.

On the flip, Shadow Pursuit builds like a chase sequence in a cyberpunk nightmare. It starts, stalking and deliberate, then suddenly it breaks into a chase through a neon-lit cityscape. Synths slice through the mix, the bass surging at full throttle. This one is all about momentum, paranoia, and pure adrenaline.

The wait is over. The label is here. It’s time to go back… back to the Future Signal. COGN001 is coming on Friday 2nd May—don’t sleep on this one!

Introducing Paracusia.

Paracusia, residing in the South West, UK.

A bass music veteran, his experience from a young age in mixing has seen him push a variation of sounds over time. His early influences in underground music has formed a foundation from experimental variants of 90's jungle and DnB.

Forward 10 years and the aesthetic of jungle/dub and dark garage within the early dubstep sound. This saw his first forays into music technology that coincided with a renewed DJ career and a well-timed move to the antipodes.

This period saw many residencies for Paracusia at the majority of venues within the capital cities and radio waves as dubstep sounds began to take a hold around the globe.

Inspired by 90s DnB, the early spacious 140 grooves, as well as the autonomic movement. Paracusia took to music production even more fervently and obsessively than before.

In 2015, a return to the UK and to the Bristol Scene encouraged a body of work influenced by all that came before, and the now non existent genre restrictions of bass music culture.

Here we have the long awaited 5th installment of my The Future Is Jungle series. The tracks were selected back in 2017 so they're not really the future anymore. The tunes were picked just before i moved house back then and i haven't had a space to set my decks up until now. It was interesting to mix what i was feeling back then, a decent set of tunes even if i do say so myself! Most of these are now available to download, a couple may not have seen the light of day though, not sure.
