Airplanes is a single by Auckland Reggae/Dub band, Strangely Arousing, blending Hip-hop and Dub to tell a story, examining what can push a desperate man to commit acts that go against his moral standing.

Here it is folks, "Something More", the single off my upcoming debut album "The Road To Something Perfect". The song represents the mood and style I am trying to capture - that feel-good bluegrassy vibe with a nice dose of upbeat funk and bounce. 

I have been working on these 12 tracks over the last 6 months, and I cannot be more excited to finally get them out to the public and to be able to start working on some new projects. Something More

6 new tracks I have been working on this summer. All of them incorporate at least some element of bluegrassy sounds, ranging from jammy and feelsy to bassy and funky. I wanted this EP to represent the hectic but exciting last few months, while at the same time spanning the entire range of vibes you should expect to encounter at a Vibe Street show. trying to get my head on straight and pen upon the page 
before I loose em both to the black hole that is calling me

What It Is

From the derelict coffee shop waste land of Smith Street, Melbourne come two dyslexic track pant enthusiasts with nothing else going for them but a talent to make pointless words rhyme in succession and a knack for petty theft. 

After their former critically acclaimed, award losing group @peace imploded upon itself due to a collective mental break down caused by a lack of government funding in the psychiatric sector, leading to a series of severe psychotic episodes, Lui and Tom were left alone with nothing but a dream and $12.70 in their paypayl account. 

In a feeble attempt to regain their sanity they created The Average Rap Band. With utter naivety and a total lack of understanding of the current popular musical climate they decided the main focus of the group would be the lyrics. An obsolete medium that was made redundant in the late 1990s. 

Working with bearded enigma Dandruff Dicky and poltergeist expert Hone St John they created a 6 track Video EP entitled 'Stream Of Nonsenseness'. The EP was the first of it’s kind, not including the one Beyonce did and all the other people that have done it already. The EP was made with a $42 budget and shot entirely on a Nokia 3210.
