For the melody, I use a lap harp from the 'Cymbalon' library, developed by Sonus Lucis.
The instrument, with its clean sounds, is used as a melody, accompaniment, and bass instrument.

The interesting aspect is that the lap harp sounds almost like a ambient guitar.
