This song has gone through a lot of different changes since its conception years ago. The goal was to create a sound that aligns with the hardship of being burned by someone that ultimately led you on. I wrote the song after playing Bioshock, and couldn't help but remember quotes that were said by Sander Cohen. After sitting on the music for a while, I reworked it a couple of times to give it more of an intense and dramatic feel, but still wanted to end it on a hopeful sort of happy note, as dark as the song initially is.
