DHS Guestmix: Robosonic & Ferreck Dawn "925 B2B Podcast" (Kittball)

In an age where any newcomer can use their connections to be propelled to the homepages of every other website, it’s nice to see figures like Dorian Paic and his raum…musik. label discreetly get the dues they’ve patiently earned over the years. Whereas the formers enjoy their few months or years of fame before being dismissed as fads and swept away by the next big thing, the Frankfurt native has always been doing his own thing, whether it went in or out of fashion. For sure, he’s had plenty of time to find his sound in a life whose most part has been dedicated to music: from working in record stores and going to the seminal Dorian Gray club in Frankfurt airport in the 1990s, to becoming one of his scene’s most in-demand DJ — not many can claim to have held a Ibiza residency for the past 12 years and played on every continent, and fewer less are still acknowledged by the more discerning heads —, this sound has patiently shaped itself into something curiously befitting Paic’s understated character.
Same goes for his role as raum…musik label head: celebrating its 20th birthday this year, the label is all about letting the music do the talking, which it will surely do with its upcoming anniversary compilation. Peak-time bangers sit next to after-hours and warm-up rollers in its discography, faithful to a philosophy that favours a party’s overall excellence over a few reckless hands-in-the-air moments. Not that Dorian won’t make you reach for the lasers — he’ll just wait for the right time to do so. Accordingly, raum…musik rarely taps the many headliners that are part of Dorian’s entourage. Yet it’s one of those labels you know to check out whether the producer rings a bell or not — as Dorian puts it, it’s all about the trusted bond the label has built over the years with its listeners. In fact, Perlon aside, it’s hard to think of any other German label that has been active for so long — a testament to the label’s commitment to carving its own way in the ever-changing, trend-hopping wilderness that is the electronic music landscape. In short, Dorian and raum have got something that no amount of PR can garner: legacy.

So with the 20th birthday landmark around the corner — not mentioning last year’s 100th release on the label — it was due time for MEOKO to catch up with Dorian.

Björn Bürke, started his musical career back in 1998 where he got into electronic music inspired by techno heroes like Carl Cox, Sven Väth and Chris Liebing. He rapidly developed his own style, way off the mainstream played in the clubs of his hometown.
This led his first residency in the infamous after hour club “Cafe Schrill” where he played Sundays from 6.00 AM – open end for 3 years. He brought a new sound to the city. Ever since then electronic music played a big role in the life of Björn.
Beside of some unreleased tracks and gigs in smaller clubs crossover Germany he never breakthrough, so he buried his dream and went down a different path after an very excessive lifestyle.
Today he is father of 3, runs his own web agency and is IT Specialist.
20 years later the passion for Music took over and he started Playing again and began to get into the Producing under the name Lavarel
Actually Lavarel is working on his first Album and other interesting projects

 Pod dřívějším nickem DANNY M si zahrál již v roce 2002 v dnes již neexistujícím klubu Mechanika v Praze. Poslední čtyři roky si nechá říkat DANNY MATHEW. Nerad se nechává ovlivňovat jen jedním hudebním stylem. Jeho hudební zařazení se liší každou odehranou nocí.  Jeho první hudební projev byl  vocal house. Dnes na sebe strhává pozornost styly house, balkan - electro. DANNY MATHEW byl slyšet snad ve všech významných i menších klubech v Praze. Není žádným tajemstvím, že si ho již před lety, jako svého sparing partnera vybral dnes známý producent a DJ Junior Jan. Duo Junior Jan a DANNY MATHEW je aktuálně slyšet v pražském klubu Chapeau Rouge, ROXY, tak i na klubových tour po celé České Republice.

Under the old nick DANNY M played in 2002 in the now non-existent club Mechanics in Prague. The last four years have lets say DANNY MATHEW. He hate leaving only affect one musical style. The inclusion of music played to vary each night. His first musical expression has been vocal house. Today exudes style house, tech house, techno, Balkan - electro. DANNY MATHEW was heard in almost all the major and smaller clubs in Prague. It's no secret that it years ago, as his sparring partner chose today known producer and DJ  Junior Jan. Duo Junior Jan and Danny MATHEW is currently heard at club Chapeau Rouge, ROXY, as well as the club tour across the Czech Republic.
