Om Unit steps up with yet another self-released adventure into uptempo sonics. This time slowing the pace slightly, exploring the 150+ realm, taking in influences from Broken Beat, Garage, Electro, Dub Techno and other signature ingredients.

This 6 track EP is the next chapter in a lengthy career-spanning narrative of exploring cross-pollinated grooves and picks up from the much celebrated 'Submerged' and 'Violet' EP's, both of a similar ilk and quite sought after by vinyl collectors to date.

"In the making of this body of work, I found myself surrendered to the creative flow that occurred in each piece individually. As if the work at a certain point starts to delegate and I have no choice but to serve. Serving in a way of not knowing conceptually what I'm doing.
An organic asymmetric approach was the basis for the whole aesthetic exploration. A dialogue between repetition and irregularity whose sum is leading into a playful yet dark gloomy nature.

In CREATURE I investigated the relationship between technical knowledge or rather the rigid imagination of an idea to the unpredictable fluidness of creation. Every track sort of becomes a CREATURE that deeply wants to be itself and given that, it feels ultimately brutal wanting it to fit in in any way. I am the initial ignition or the person having an idea to start something new but I always end up being a tool, a trigger or a small protagonist in a world that is now something of itself.“ — Chewlie

After a long year of preparation, we are proud to finally present 'Viewpoints Volume 1' - a diverse collection of productions from both the Dark Real Dark family ourselves and friends of the crew. Staying true to our philosophy of 'no genre boundaries', Viewpoints Volume 1 travels from Dubstep to Halftime to Instrumental Hip Hop among other sounds. 
Dark Real Dark - Viewpoints Volume 1 will be released both digitally and on casette tape and will be available on Bandcamp in late December 2018.
