young RnB, hyperpop, and rap artist SMXKEWXST or known by many as west, like many, started his career during the covid19 lockdown, he then continued to release tracks under an old name before changing his name to SMXKEWXST, WXST is an artist who uses his past experiecne to write his music, motivated by heartache and depresion, he speaks his truth and talks about what he sees around him, WXST is part of a rap collective called SPINKBACK otherwise known as SB, this collective consists of rappers, SUNDOWN, Lil-O, Dvision, ScarXIV just to name a few, WXST's style is heavily influenced by Juice Wrld, Lil peep, XXXTENTACION and hyperpop artists such as his close colaborator and mentor Lil-O. WXST also has a tallent for freestyling on some of his new songs and unreleased snippets of BoomBap beats, WXST's comes from his father playing rappers such at 2PAC, the Notorious B.I.G. and kanye. As of Febuary 2025 WXST founded his mental health organisation that supports underprivileged youth and people who have had less oportunity to get the equivilent mental health, the foundation is called Wxst Foundation.
