Jou Nielsen is an artist on a mission to share his passion for deep melodic and emotional music to the world.

With over a decade of experience in the underground music scene,  Jou has honed his skills as Music Producer developing a reputation as a DJ in the industry.

His dedication to his craft and love for music have earned him the opportunity to play at some renowned international venues including: 

Pacha Barcelona, Gazgolder, Nikki Beach Koh Samui, Hollystone, Mayan Beach Club, Salud Goa, Escobar Festival, Leo Beach Music Festival,   Elrow, Bailamos Pune, The Bongo Club, Macarena Club, Plombir Fabrique Festival, Jacqueline, Upload, 303 Audiophile and the iconic Full Moon Party at Moonrise Koh Phangan amongst others.

Christian Westerhof was born on March 1, 1988 in Bottrop, North Rhine-Westphalia. At a young age, he discovered his passion for electronic music, which has stayed with him to this day. The first CD he bought was a special edition of the iconic song "Fire" by the band Scooter - a moment that had a significant impact on his musical journey. In his youth, Christian experimented with free DAWs like LMMS and collected initial ideas for his own music projects. However, due to his education as a baker and other personal commitments, he had to put his musical ambitions on hold to focus on his professional life. Apart from occasional electric guitar sessions, he had little time to pursue his love of music. In 2021, Christian decided to implement his years of ideas more professionally. Using the studio software FL Studio, he began to put his visions into practice. In the summer of 2022, he released his first Single , which marked the start of his musical career. Since then, he has devoted himself almost exclusively to music and has released numerous singles and EPs in various genres. Christian's goal is not to achieve fame, but to express himself through his music - in good times and in bad. He conveys these emotions in each of his songs, be it thoughtful, melancholic or happy. In a world that is often characterized by challenges, he believes in the power of honesty and the pursuit of happiness. He is known for not mincing his words and openly saying what he thinks. His only goal with his music is to process personal experiences and share them with others in the hope of giving joy for a moment. His motto is: "Stay true to yourself!"

Simon D has performed on, produced, and recorded multiple albums, EP's, and singles, for himself and other artists, including: Bri & Si, Ctrl Alt Del, D-Ko, Sour Hour, Snitch, The Way Out, and more.

Internationally, he has performed and DJ'd in India, Thailand, and Vietnam, and on some of Australia's biggest stages, including the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, and the Big Top at the Woodford Folk Festival, across a career of 300 live shows.

During this time, he has shared a stage with many notable performers, including Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction), The Crystal Method, The Propeller Heads, John '00' Fleming, Infected Mushroom, Raja Ram, DJ Krush, and more.

Recently Simon D has released music on Home Hearing Records, Mullum Madness Records, and Nextrax Digital, with his single Sunset placing at Number 6 on the Beatport Progressive House chart.
