somyu is a South Korean melodic/progressive house producer and DJ known for his dreamy, piano-forward sound and original compositions. Rooted in traditional Korean music through his time in the Cheonan Student Korean Traditional Orchestra, he transitioned into electronic production with a unique blend of classical sensitivity and digital creativity. His tracks invite listeners into immersive soundscapes where delicate melodies float over deep grooves—crafted with intention, emotion, and atmosphere. Influenced by the textures of melodic house and the drive of progressive rhythms, somyu’s music stands out for its lush harmonies and distinctive, piano-led identity. Each release reflects his commitment to musical storytelling and a sound that is unmistakably his own. Having released on respected labels such as Purified Records, AVA Deep, ClubHaus, and RockRiverRecords, somyu’s work has drawn support from leading artists like Nora En Pure, AVIRA, and Hausman. His music continues to reach global audiences through curated sets and playlists, resonating with those seeking depth and feeling in electronic music. Outside the studio, somyu is actively shaping Korea’s electronic scene by organizing DJ events and showcases that highlight local talent. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, his focus remains clear: to push the boundaries of melodic house with authenticity and soul.

DJ of electronic music since 2007, producing since 2016. Grown up near Berlin, now living in Aachen/Germany. Focussing on energetic Trance music, but also playing the darker depths of Techno music under his' and Michael Tiersch's alias 'The Collector'. Enjoy the music.

Alex Iovita – Artist Biography
I’m Alex Iovita — an electronic music producer and DJ. Since I was a kid, I’ve had a deep connection with music.
At around 5 years old, I was already blasting music from a cassette player on the third floor and singing at the top of my lungs like the whole neighborhood was my audience. Some people peeked out their windows, some smiled, others just listened. I didn’t have a stage or a mic — just my voice and this weird instinct that somehow, I’d be doing this forever.

I used to record songs from the TV using cables and a tape deck, then play them back over and over. I still remember... Andre, Holograf, Animal X, Valahia, Genius... even back then, I knew music wasn’t just sound — it was something deeper. A language. A release.

The Beginning
In 2011, I opened a music production software for the first time. I had no plan. But I had this love for music.
And that’s what eventually helped me find my path.

I taught myself everything — through mistakes, obsession, and just trying things out.

Over time, I discovered new genres... rock, punk-rock, house, trance, drum and bass — and my sound slowly shaped itself into a blend of all of them. I never cared about trends — I cared about feelings. The atmosphere. The story behind every track.

Growth & Recognition
So far, I’ve released over 100 original tracks and remixes. A lot of them have been played in DJ sets across Romania and internationally — from Europe to the United States. I’ve been featured on underground radio stations and playlists curated by people who value emotion over algorithm.

What Music Means to Me
For me, producing and DJing aren’t just hobbies or jobs. They’re therapy.

I am Saied Al-Lawati (Saied), the sole local Melodic Techno producer and DJ in the GCC and Oman, bringing a unique blend of cultural heritage and contemporary sound to the global stage. With years of musical experience, I specialize in Melodic Techno, masterfully weaving Middle Eastern melodies and scales with dynamic EDM beats to create a distinctive fusion My dedication to sharing the cultural richness of the Middle Eastern region through my music has garnered widespread recognition. My tracks have received support from renowned DJs worldwide, including Paul Van Dyk, Korolova, Photographer, Don Diablo, Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin, and many others.

I’ve launched the "Whispers" project, pioneering the global electronic music scene as the first artist to fuse traditional Middle Eastern instruments like the Oud and Qanun with melodic techno. This project has garnered worldwide recognition and support, celebrating a unique blend of culture and contemporary sound. Each track in Whispers invites listeners on an immersive journey, bridging our heritage with modern beats and resonating with audiences across the globe in an innovative, unforgettable way.
