The story begins at a rehearsal with my friends from Unstable. The year is 2014, and the mobile game 2048 is going viral. We're having fun, comparing scores when suddenly, Quentin, one of the guitarists, jokingly says: "Since you're a prog-head who likes neverending tracks, I challenge you to make a 2048 bars track where every riff / musical development is made with twice the bars from previous riffs!”. 

Of course, I took it literally. 
That's how the concept of this album was born. 

As I was composing, I decided I wanted to “tell a story” despite the fact that the piece was instrumental. So, 2048 became the year when the story takes place. It sees the end of humanity due to climatic collapse. Human people vanish while a storm covers the world, sweeping all remaining vestiges of civilisation and giving wild life a new breath. Have a nice trip!
