& in the beginning

Staring up at a marigold-colored sky that looks like golden hour all day long, evokes contradictory feelings. The mind knows it’s a bad thing, but the eye is unsure. The sky looks this way because the air is filled with smog from the nearby wildfires that are getting worse every year due to climate change. It’s not safe to go outside, but it is objectively beautiful. This song came out of a jam session in our SF practice space and is all about tension. Optimism in the face of devastation.

As one of the founders of the Sucka Free Sound System in 2010, a super group of genre bending DJs in the San Fransisco Bay Area, VTRON pushed the limits on sound design and energetic, mind-blowing live sets.  In 2011 he dedicated his life to music production and recording techniques, and after earning a degree in Sound Arts he began producing and performing in groups like House of Whales, Wake N Break and COLORICA.  With all his various projects he's played at major venues in the Bay Area including 1015 Folsom, Ruby Skye, Gingerbread House, Bordello, Temple and many more.  His sound blends his rich history of house music grooves with the inspirations of hip hop and bass music that made such an undeniable mark on him living in Northern California.
