When I showed my mom this song, she said, "It's really good. But why are you so mad?" I had to explain to her what haters are. In all seriousness, this quick track is another one of my favorites, with me making some pretty bold claims and remarks. Most of the time I never bring up the fact that I'm a rapper when I meet people or when I talk to them. In my experience, that always led to laughs or less-than-excited responses. "Recognize" is about me coming back to those same people and rubbing it in their faces, because now i'm not ashamed to show them what I do.
