June and July 2022 were all about the release of the 'What It Is' EP on Dan Shake's label Shake Records. To spread the word and to celebrate the release I did a mini radio tour. I visited a couple of cool internet based radio stations throughout the Netherlands. For now this is the set that concludes that little tour, enjoy!

A true ambassador of house and techno, DJ Deep first emerged from the Parisian scene before making his mark internationally. He began alongside Laurent Garnier at the Palace, quickly became a regular at the Rex Club and in 2003 founded the label Deeply Rooted, acclaimed for releases with Kerri Chandler, Ben Klock, François X, Ben Sims, and Roman Poncet.
A versatile producer, he has released on Rekids, Kaoz Theory and Tresor, while also exploring experimental sounds under various aliases. His vinyl collection—among the most remarkable in the world—fuels an eclecticism he also shares in his Open Library shows on Worldwide FM, where he moves fluidly between jazz, soul, dub, funk and ambient.

Originally "Back in the Days" released in 2004 on Resopal Schallware marked Tigerskin as a torchbearer for pop-oriented groovy House, reviving the raw energy of early 90s bleeps, swung beats, and untamed dance floor spirit but transforming it with the technical possibilities of the early 00s into his trademark romantic vision.

From the pulse of “Dance Now” to the cringey charm of “Party in My Car,” Tigerskin proved that Back in the Days was more than a look backward - it was a bridge between era's: a reminder that the roots of club culture still grow, still breathe, still move people.

Two decades on, this re‑release doesn’t just bring back nostalgia - it reminds us that reminiscing every once in a while can push creativity. The album and a few EPs around it were the start of a pretty different approaches to club music for Tigerskin, that led to several big tracks and remixes, some now considered to be classics by many. 

The three formerly unreleased and slightly more club-oriented bonus tracks had been recorded the same year but were amongst many that didn’t make it to the album.
