Thank you for visiting my SoundCloud profile! My name is Ryan Byrne and I am a pro bassist, music educator, and entrepreneur.

I am currently the bassist for Steve Rutledge and the Groove Evolution. I have also played for multiple other artists including Stephen Cochran, Courtney Dickinson, Larry Bagby, Mirka, and many more! I am the founder of the veteran NH powerpop/punk/rock'n'roll band, Nostalgic Distortion.

I am currently a music instructor at Knoxville Academy of Music, Tennessee's largest private music school. Prior to that I was a substitute teacher at Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools for three years, and even prior to that I was a full time music teacher at Bethlehem Elementary School and Lafayette Regional School in rural northern New Hampshire. 

I am also an entrepreneur, operating a home-based digital marketing agency called 251 Group. 251 Group provides digital media & marketing services such as: WordPress web design & SEO; SEM & other digital marketing services; and premium domain name leasing (for the private music lessons industry). 251 Group also offers domain name registration, web hosting, drag-and-drop website builders and other web-related products and services through it's subsidiary online store, SmittyUp.com.

Johnny Broadcast is a singer/songwriter/musician/producer living and working in Nashville, TN.  He has been the singer and principal songwriter for 5 independent bands including his new band "THE EMERGENCY BROADCAST SYSTEM".  Additionally, "KELLY AFFAIR" (David Granati/Joe West/Eli Ball), "ON" (Joe West/Joe Kelly/Chris Lohr), "LOVES GUN SHOP" (Mike Speranzo, Peter Beckerman) and NYC's "GIRLS OF PORN" (Ron St Germain/Pete DeBoer). Johnny and his bands have opened for Roger Waters, 311, Bad Brains, Creed, STAIND, Live, Goo Goo Dolls, Fuel, Rusted Root, Blue Oyster Cult and played The Vans Warped Tour.
