Session 2 with the Lyra-8

With this session, I wanted to play with more harmonically stable textures, so I tuned the oscillators to Fm7 chord.  I purposely avoided pitch modulation during this session.  Any pitch changes you hear come from the self-oscillating mod delay lines being manipulated.

William Elliott makes experimental synthesizer-based music under a number of aliases, including Phantom Oscillator, GASGIANTS, Interferenzmaschine, and Occam's Raygun. His uncompromising improvisational style has led him to embrace hardware synths such as the iconic Soma Laboratory Lyra-8 and Eurorack modular synths among others.

Kwame Brandt-Pierce is a pianist, composer and singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. In 2001 he graduated from NYU with an M.F.A. in musical theatre. Soon after he began working with Saul Williams as principal keyboards on Willam's debut album Amethyst Rockstar. He later joined Williams on a tour of the US and Europe. 
In 2008 Kwame formed his experimental band 3beanstew. Influenced by the music of Tom Waits, Sun Ra, Charles Mingus, and Parliament-Funkadelic, 3beanstew's performances are extremely theatrical, employing various artistic disciplines including puppetry, film, and dance.
An accomplished keyboardist, Kwame has performed with several artists including, Solange Knowles, Carl Hancock Rux, Saul Williams,  Amel Larrieux, Pharoahe Monch, and Jean Grae.
He is currently a member of the Brooklyn based band Chocolate Orphan in collaboration with producer Suede Jenkins, and singer Soyini Assata.
