Experimenting with my Lyra-8, these are some excerpts.

Unfortunately, I accidentally stopped recording about half way through the session, so I didn't capture some of my favorite material.

Session 2 with the Lyra-8

With this session, I wanted to play with more harmonically stable textures, so I tuned the oscillators to Fm7 chord.  I purposely avoided pitch modulation during this session.  Any pitch changes you hear come from the self-oscillating mod delay lines being manipulated.

Tried playing with some different tunings and some pitch mod and FM

Experimenting with the FM and lots of verb.

Experimental Lyra8 Session 03 - Ambient FM

This session, I tuned all the oscillators AND I tuned the delay line so I could create tuned feedback on a fundamental.

Bass osc and delay line tuned on low F, then the rest of the oscillators were tuned by 5ths (C, G, D, E, A, B).

"Melody" section was created by FModulating the upper register against each other.

FM on the Lyra is really unpredictable, seems like lots of things influence the modulation including wave-shape.  The Melody/solo section was performed by manipulating modulation amount and wave shape (which somehow resulted in pitch changing).

Just an improvisation on the wonderful SOMA Lyra-8. Added a slightly amount of reverb and did some compression (some may say it is overcompressed, and they are probably right. Not to mention SC is also doing some compression/ limiting) on the master. Enjoy
